About Kitty Jones

We moved to the Del Norte area in 1986 and live on a ranch in Big Flat surrounded by wilderness. We raise cattle and sheep on the ranch and several horses. We purchased the coastal house for a rental in town and remodeled the inside with our daughter's help in 2012.

Kitty Jones purchased this cottage in 1999

Why Kitty Jones chose North Coast

The house is located close to the ocean and short drive to the many adventures Del Norte County offers.

What makes this cottage unique

Sit on the porch and enjoy beautiful sunsets and listen to the waves of the ocean after a fun filled day.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cozy cottage was super comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We had a nice 2 days stay. Cottage was super clean and stocked with whatever you may need. It's an older home which for us was perfect. Just the old beach cottage feel we were looking for. Directions were clear. We spent an entire day driving the coSt and appreciated coming back to our quiet cottage.

Lovely Home Great Owners

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely home with a terrific view of the ocean, the owners have thought of everything a traveler may need. Kitty was great to work with and even brought me a hair dryer as I forgot my own. I would definitely stay here again.

This house is fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

The house is newly remodeled with new carpet and linoleum. It is a block from the ocean and two blocks from the lighthouse and pier. There is a bike trail nearby along with easy access to the beach. The Stout Grove is 20 minutes away. I highly recommend this house!

Great property!

What a quaint and wonderful home to stay in, so close to beach. Had everything we needed and extremely clean. Best part was the cold water ready in fridge and cookie jar filled. Thanks Kitty, we had a wonderful time!

Fabulous for Families

  • 4 of 5

We found this home cozy, clean and comfortable. A much better value and experience than a hotel for our family of 6. The kitchen and bathroom and laundry room were both stocked with basic essentials. Just like visiting a friend! There was a nice DVD collection to choose from after our long days out exploring the beaches and Redwoods. I loved the water pressure in the shower - and now after our next rental experience, I also appreciate the hot water (cold showers at next stop). Cold filtered water in the fridge as well as fresh cookies on the counter were a nice touch.

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay in this well appointed home. Communication with the hosts were good. The location is fantastic. Near to the coast, grocery stores, and the redwood forest. We had a blast.
