Felt right at home at “When Pigs Fly Inn” in Washington NC. Great get away to a small town with great folks on the Pimlico river. Will be revisiting again soon and hope to stay at your beautiful Inn.
The owner, Jeff, was very accommodating in every single possible way. Room was comfortable, accoutrements were many and we were centrally located to the downtown riverfront and restaurants.
Had a wonderful time. The hosts were great. The house was as advertised. Gorgeous old Victorian in the heart of Washington NC. Easy to get to all the sites downtown. We were in town for my Daughters graduation from ECU. This house was a perfect place for us to stay. We were able to relax and recharge so we could try and keep up with the younger generation…lol!!! Highly recommend this house. We would absolutely stay here again.
The Inn was lovely and very accommodating. Our room was just the right amount of space and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated that everything was decorated so nicely for the Christmas season. The book placed in the room was very helpful with menus, etc. for local restaurants. and activities. Jeff was friendly as were the kitties. The kitties were an added treat! Location was good and we felt very safe walking around the town. We enjoyed our stay.
We had a 2 night stay in the Red room and everything exceeded our expectations . The inn is very close to all of the beautiful Washington riverfront, shops, restaurants, bars We Will definitely return and stay here!
Thank you , Jeff
Comfortable room/house just a short walk from town
We loved our stay at When Pigs Fly Inn! The historic home is beautiful and spacious with ample porches less than a block from the waterfront. We were very comfortable for 5 nights on a combination work/pleasure trip to Washington. So comfortable, in fact, that we have already booked a return trip later in the summer! The owners are super-friendly and we loved the lazy cats on the porches. It was fine for us because we brought a cooler, but be aware that space in the small fridge is shared with 4 other rooms, so depending on the number of other guests, it can be limited. Otherwise, I can think of nothing but good things to say! Highly recommended.
The inn is easy walking distance to the water front, restaurants and bars. Jeff and Linda were very attentive host. They provide so many extras. We would definitely stay there again.
Fantastic location, great property, owners were great and communicated very well. Location allowed walking to the waterfront and the downtown historic area, lots of shops and restaurants. Lots of amenities at the property with very attentive owners.
This was our first trip to Little Washington and we fell in love with the historic waterfront area. When Pigs Fly Inn was a great location within walking distance to fun restaurants and shops. Jeff and Linda were excellent hosts and the check in/out process couldn’t have been easier. We look forward to visiting again.
Host was great. Location is perfect - two blocks from waterfront with several local restaurants. You can easily go morning or evening walks along waterfront. The Red Room incorporates an antique look with modern features.
This is a very nice, clean, and restful place to stay. Perfect location with fantastic owners. The check in and out process couldn’t be easier. We will stay here again for sure.
We loved the place and the ease of checking in, we had a late request for our grandson who ended up traveling with us and a roll away cot was supplied. Jeff was great in getting back to us and we do plan on stopping by again in 2022 on our way to the beach.
We love When Pigs Fly. Jeff and Linda were so courteous. The room was very comfortable and the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. We enjoyed playing backgammon , bring yours, on the porch over looking the garden . We will
Definitely be back. Roslyn and Ben

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Furst
Jeff here. My wife Linda and I moved here to Washington, NC because it's exactly what we wanted...a small town with a beautiful waterfront and quaint vibrant downtown. We lived in Raleigh for years and, after scouring the state for just the right place to slow down, we found just the place. We think you'll like it, too.
Why they chose this property
Our home, the Frank A. Moss House (a lot of the historic homes here have names) was built in 1902. It's part of the historic fabric of the area and is on the Washington Historic District Walking Tour. It's one block from the water and short few minute walk to the Downtown Harbor District with it's scenic waterfront and docks and quaint shops
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the lofty huge brick portico that wraps around three sids of the house. Great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. Being able to park your car at our place and walk everywhere is so relaxing. The waterfront, the downtown, all the history is right outside our door.
