Quiet, peaceful log home on 40 acres with nature right out the door.
We are so fortunate to live in Hidden Creeks Hideaway. For a select few times during the summer we welcome guests to our home. We have a peaceful, quiet getaway. Our cabin is located at the end of the dirt road on 40 acres in a gated community of 800 acres. There is a garage and basement on the lower level. The basement has a gym, futon couch and full bathroom. The main level has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living/dining area. The covered deck and wrap around deck are accessed from 5 doors on this level. Upstairs is the loft with a television, master bedroom and bathroom.
The acreage has many features. It has a meadow, a seasonal pond, pine and oak forests, a hogback, a valley, cliffs, and a mesa. All of this accessible through trails that wind through the property. We also have a horse on the property away from the cabin. Two barn cats live in the area Someone will come by daily to check on these animals, but will not disturb you.

We really enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. This was a great place for a quiet retreat with amazing views. They were also some really great hikes that left right from the property.
Such a great place to stay!! I didn’t want to leave!! John and Ava were so nice!!! The home was so clean and comfortable!! The views and property are amazing!!
We were in town for a wedding and had an amazing stay with family. Enjoyed a soak in the hot tub and coffee on the deck. Wish we’d had more time to stay! Owners were wonderful and accommodating. Works definitely recommend!!
We really enjoyed our stay. We shared the house with our adult siblings for a family reunion. It was so nice to have a comfortable place to visit with family, play card games and enjoy our time together. John and Ava are wonderful hosts. The property and surroundings are beautiful.
Rarely does a property turn out to be even better in person, but this one is! Hidden Creeks Hideaway is the perfect getaway. Excellent communication from owners who checked in several times to make sure everything was ok when the weather changed dramatically. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the scenery is outstanding! While we came here to attend a family wedding, we hope to come back to further explore this beautiful part of Colorado! Thank you for an outstanding stay!
This was just saying we were looking for. Our whole family loved it!Our five children love tromping through the woods, the slack line and zip line and swurfer swing brought hours of fun. I lived in the Hammock with my book for many hours. The house met all of our needs. There were many things to do in the surrounding areas! John and Ava were the best hosts and gave us the inside scoop on their property! We want to come again and we have told many of our friends about this place. We love that it was remote! It was a great time of rest and relaxation
We had a wedding and family reunion and used the Hidden Creek Ranch property as our base. We couldn't have been more pleased. Beautiful, roomy, clean and lots more! Communication with John and Ava was fantastic during the entire process. Highly recommend this property.
We loved the location and the peace and quiet here. John was very good to work with. Ava was out of town so we didn't get to meet her. I reached out to John for recommendations of things to do and he gave us good ones. The house was clean and comfortable, the property was beautiful.
This space was beautiful. We enjoyed every moment. Hummingbirds galore, a cool cat named Cowboy and Burrito the donkey were great entertainment. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was great and easy to find things in. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out. We had a group of 8 in the beginning but unforeseen circumstances only allowed 4 of us to to go. It would have accommodated the 8 of us with no problem.
Thank you Ava and John! We will join you again with the whole crew!!
This is such a beautiful property and the house was wonderful! It was clean, well kept and the location was spectacular! It was so peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the views. John and Ava were great about everything! They explained how everything worked and were so nice! We would definitely stay here again!
first thing is that our hosts were delightful and friendly. the beautiful home that we stayed in was the most comfortable we have ever rented and the views were spectacular. we had 6 adults in our group, and really enjoyed all the room and amenities. taking walks around the property was relaxing and sometimes we could hear wild turkeys. we also enjoyed cowboy and cowgirl, who were the sweet cats, and hearing the donkey, Burrito, greet us every morning with his sweet voice! thank you so much john and ava for sharing your beautiful property.....we will always have fond memories of our stay! fred & Dianne (carol) and friends

Amazing Property!
We hosted a family get together at Hidden Creeks Hideaway with 4 grandkids and their parents (total of 8 people including us). The cabin is spacious and beautiful. We all enjoyed hiking on the property (and the many San Isabel NF trails nearby), watching the hummingbirds, and John and Ava's menagerie of two horses, a donkey, and a couple of super-friendly outdoor cats. You can ignore the animals or enjoy them -- there is plenty of space and fencing. The hosts are spectacular, have thought of everything, and we felt totally at home.
What you can't see in the pictures -- this is a very private getaway. You can see one other cabin from the top floor and it is far away. You are surrounded by natural beauty. Even though Homeaway lists it as Colorado City (on the plains by I-25), the cabin is IN the mountains near Rye, Colorado. If you want to experience the natural beauty of the Rockies, this is the place.
We did not want to leave! The area is so beautiful that we were looking through real estate listings before we left. For now, we'll definitely return if Hidden Creeks Hideaway is available.
