This delightful 120-year-old farmhouse, overlooking a vineyard, sits on two acres. Recently renovated, the house is 3,000 square feet and can comfortably sleep 6-8 people in three spacious bedrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and the third with a king and a view of the vineyards. The remodeled upstairs bathroom is charming with a claw foot tub and pedestal sink.

The downstairs has a large front room, a dining room and a separate parlor that is great for gathering around the fireplace with family and friends. There is a large wrap around porch that has two twin beds, which also have a view of the vineyards. The porch is also a wonderful place to dine on warm summer evenings.

The award winning kitchen (Northern CA Kitchen Design Competition) has a farm table and large sliding doors that open onto a wisteria covered deck and seating area - the perfect place for your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. The adjacent dining room provides an elegant extension of the kitchen and includes another cozy fireplace. A second attractively updated bathroom along with a laundry/mud room is located just off the kitchen.

About owner

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, but now live in Napa Valley and have for thirty-four years. As a child I spent many weekends visiting our family home in St. Helena.

owner purchased this farmhouse in 1935

Why owner chose Napa County

This house has been in our family for over eighty years. The house was built in the 1880's and my great-uncle purchased it in 1935 from a historical Napa Valley wine family. People have always loved gathering at the St. Helena house and we want that to continue for generations to come.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The wrap around porch has been the setting for many wonderful dinners over the years. Sitting on the porch eating and drinking wine, while at the same time looking over the vineyards along with the views of the eastern mountains - Priceless!

Beautiful property!

The farmhouse had everything we could've needed. We spent most of our time at the house outside. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Jim was helpful with all of our questions before and during the trip. Would definitely recommend!

Quaint luxury on a huge property

Wow! In a nutshell it's perfect. Here is what the notes in the listing won't tell you-they are all GOOD things that should make your decision to stay at this house an easy one:)

1. There is a full bathroom upstairs and one downstairs which is PERFECT for your guest. I was worried about only two bathrooms but it worked out perfect.

2. There is a ton of little nooks and crannies to stash your stuff if you have the max number of guests or kids with a bunch of luggage

3. They have every cooking utensil you would ever want to make a five course meal for 8. So many pans, bowls, etc. Top of the line stuff!

4. They give you water, soda, and more upon arrival. SO helpful for those who arrive late and don't have time to grab a few water bottles. But you can also drink the water so it's fine:)

5. The mud room has its own sink and could easily act as a kids room if needed- you can make a pallet it is very spacious.

6. The outdoor twin bed area is incredible- you get to sleep in the cool Napa nights while looking at the stars.

7. There is an outdoor picnic table, a screened in table for 8, an indoor formal dining table AND a table in the kitchen- plenty of room to eat or play games, etc.

8. The property is on a vineyard with an old barn and has SO much character to it. A great place for a little family photo shoot.

9. There is no AC, but they have fans in every bedroom with additional fans you can move around the house. It was 92 degrees when we were there and it was completely fine with the additional fans and windows open. It was perfect at night.

10. They have a bunch of games! Including cards against humanity and many games for the kids.

11. The location is a perfect meeting spot. We had people staying all over town and we all met at the Saint Helena house before the wedding because of the central location and the outdoor picnic table space and the spacious property.

12. Safeway is right down the street- a 5 min drive.

13. We didn't walk into town, but you easily could have.

14. There are 3-4 seperate entrances to the house so you can choose which one to enter as to not wake anyone up or bother others.

15. Jim is a available and in contact with you whenever needed via phone and text. He was beyond helpful, gracious and funny!

Gorgeous property and great St Helena location

The host, Jim, was extremely communicative and organized. The house was absolutely perfect for a group of my friends to stay while in town for a wedding in St Helena. A ton of living space to gather and relax, and nice outdoor seating as well. I would highly recommend. A great experience!

Well managed property with plenty of space for a group visiting the Napa Valley. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, owners anticipate your every need. Three large bedrooms with two bonus twins on the sleeping porch. Charming farmhouse with modern kitchen, we will be back !

Car: not necessary

We are located in the heart of Napa Valley close to the many wineries. In addition to wineries, Napa Valley has several world renown restaurants some of which are in walking distance from our house.

If you like the outdoors within minutes you can cycle some of the best roads in Napa Valley. If you like shopping you can walk to the charming town of St. Helena and experience the the towns many shops.
