About Linda

I have been in the education profession for 28 years. I love the outdoors and nature in general, birdwatching, sports such as skiing ( water, downhill, crosscountry),hiking, camping, scuba diving, sailing. My husband and I ran an art gallery for 20 years and I love art in many forms. I keep my property as close to a nature santuary as I possibly can so I can have a serene enviroment to unwind from the busy work life in Reno.

Linda purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Linda chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

I grew up in Reno,NV and spent many wonderful winters and summers at Tahoe. I wanted to retire to Tahoe to be closer to the nature and outdoor activities I love. When I saw this location I knew it was for me. It is a classic Tahoe cabin located in a serene setting next to the forest. It helps me regenerate after a busy work week and I hope it will help you unwind too.

What makes this cabin unique

I love the natural setting and spend a lot of time gardening. I do a daily hike in the forest both summer and winter --- plus of course skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer. Afternoons in the summer I love sitting on the deck with a book watching the wildlife in the forest. In the winter I love watching the snow fall with a roaring fire keeping things cozy.

Extremely well kept quiet cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience at the cabin, Linda was extremely accommodating and helpful in the middle of a monster snow storm. The cabin was very clean and everything you could ask for is right there. After the storm cleared out we enjoyed walking in the beautiful forest - Linda even provided snowshoes! Highly recommended!

Lovely cabin and great host!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely lovely! The location was great, in a quiet neighborhood but close to North Lake Tahoe amenities. Linda was a fantastic host, available if we had questions or needed anything. She even left a bottle of champagne since we were celebrating a birthday! We were there in the winter so it was covered in snow but Linda had snowshoes, boots, a dryer available for anything we might need in those conditions!

Beautiful and peaceful property with backyard facing forest, perfect for relaxing romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at this property. Last time (in summer of 2014) my husband and I stayed over a weekend and loved it so much that we came back this year to stay for a whole week. Even though it was a Labor Day week, it was very quiet and we didn't even see or hear any neighbors. It felt like it was only us and the forest (and a few entertaining chipmunks!). The property is very clean and comfortable and the backyard fencing the forest is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed hiking in the forest right outside the property and relaxing on the patio deck with a good book and a cup of tea. There is a fire pit next to the big deck so we enjoyed the fire under the stars. The beautiful Kings Beach is very close, as well as various restaurants and Safeway. The owner Linda is very responsive, welcoming and super easy to deal with. When we had a minor inconvenience with the wasps during our stay, Linda addressed and fixed it right away. She set up a fire pit for use before we arrived and welcomed us with a bottle of champagne since we told her it was our wedding anniversary. What a nice touch! Thank you Linda, we love your property and we'll be back again!

Perfect location, perfect stay.

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It's a beautiful location, abutting the national forest so if privacy is what you seek--this is your place! It's an easy bike ride or walk to King's beach (for adults), as well as local restaurants and shops. The cabin has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and is perfect if you have kids (or don't) and require more than a bare bones cabin or hotel room. Well-stocked kitchen, plenty of comfy blankets and two beds, clean, and tons of great hiking and outdoor areas for your vacationing pleausre. The owner, Linda, goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and more, and is a really nice lady to boot. We will be back!
