About Linda

I have been in the education profession for 28 years. I love the outdoors and nature in general, birdwatching, sports such as skiing ( water, downhill, crosscountry),hiking, camping, scuba diving, sailing. My husband and I ran an art gallery for 20 years and I love art in many forms. I keep my property as close to a nature santuary as I possibly can so I can have a serene enviroment to unwind from the busy work life in Reno.

Linda purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Linda chose Kings Beach

I grew up in Reno,NV and spent many wonderful winters and summers at Tahoe. I wanted to retire to Tahoe to be closer to the nature and outdoor activities I love. When I saw this location I knew it was for me. It is a classic Tahoe cabin located in a serene setting next to the forest. It helps me regenerate after a busy work week and I hope it will help you unwind too.

What makes this cabin unique

I love the natural setting and spend a lot of time gardening. I do a daily hike in the forest both summer and winter --- plus of course skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer. Afternoons in the summer I love sitting on the deck with a book watching the wildlife in the forest. In the winter I love watching the snow fall with a roaring fire keeping things cozy.

Green & Gorgeous + White & Whimsical

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this adorable little cabin. We are so thankful we got to see it green and gorgeous and white and whimsical. It was such a treat and Linda is a wonderful hostess. The cabin backs into a the lovely nation forest, which was great for little walks, lunch hammocking in the trees, and hiking up the trail for the afternoon. Walking to the little town of Kings Beach takes just a few minutes, spectacular views of Lake Tahoe, pristine sunsets, and cozy coffee shops. We throughly enjoying our stay here and would happily return.

Just right!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 enjoyed three nights here. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. The forest trails behind the cabin are lovely, and we were close to skiing, restaurants and, of course, the lake! Linda is a gracious host. We'll be back!

Great spot

  • 5 of 5

The property was great, the fresh air and the view from the rear of the rental was amazing. Everything you need is there and even the bed was comfortable. Hiking just out the back gate was pretty cool. My wife and I loved this spot. Wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a nice surprise to find a nice bottle of champagne in the fridge when we got there. Thanks Linda.

Terrific Tahoe Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

I wanted a place that was quiet, yet comfortable; close to hiking trails and Lake Tahoe; and this is what I found at Linda's cabin. Linda was a great host and made sure that we had sufficient information about the area and the events that were happening. She was always prompt in replying to any question we had---both in the booking process and during our stay. She wanted us to experience the best of King's Beach and the Lake Tahoe area. She also provided extras for our use: kayak, bikes, two grills, backyard furniture for lounging. The cabin is comfortable and well supplied....and clean. It worked well for the two of us. You'll have everything you need for meal preparation, better than I've encountered in most rentals. Having the hiking trails available right behind the cabin was a great benefit. We also enjoyed having breakfast out on the backyard deck, underneath the majestic trees. I can't say how it is in the snow season, but it was great in August. I loved sleeping with the windows open and feeling the fresh breeze and hearing nature at its best.

clean, quiet, well stocked; owner helpful and friendly

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 10-year-old, and I had a wonderful stay. We wanted a clean, quiet cabin in the woods, and we were pleased to see that the place was beautiful and perfect for our family of 3 to relax. Well-stocked kitchen and recreational equipment (boogie board, sand toys, bikes, etc). Forest out the back door with miles of trails and a nearby creek. Linda welcomed us the first evening, answered questions, and recommended good beaches and trails to visit during our stay. A short walk to town. Perfect getaway! We will be returning!
