Our trip to Wilmington was made perfect by this home. It’s so close to the ski slopes and the hustle of Lake Placid DURING the Olympics yet felt like a private sanctuary. The soaking tub in the bathroom was pure luxury—exactly what I needed to recharge. Between that and the hot tub, we left feeling more relaxed than we have in years. A beautiful home in a prime location!

We just left the aptly named Brookside Retreat. This home perfectly balances modern luxury with a cozy mountain feel. The outdoor spaces are top-notch—we loved relaxing in the hot tub and listening to the peaceful sound of the brook running along the property.The views of the mountains are unbeatable, especially while looking up at a million stars at night or gathering around the huge fire pit—it really made our evenings special. Inside, the house is just as impressive; the radiant floor heating kept us perfectly cozy, and having the Peloton was a huge plus to keep up with workouts while away! With 5 king bedrooms and those amazing en-suite baths, our group was so comfortable. Our next stay here WILL be longer. This place is a gem—highly recommend!

This rental ranks among the absolute best we have stayed at in the Wilmington area. The host was incredibly responsive, helpful and flexible. The set-up of the home is fantastic - large, comfortable en suite bedrooms and the open concept upstairs kitchen and family room with views of Whiteface were spectacular. The gas fireplace was beautiful and made for a great, home-like ambiance for our stay. The large kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and more for small or large group meals with plenty of space for comfortable seating. The setting doesn’t get better - views of the mountains, wrap around porch, large yard for family fun, hot tub (clean and new and wonderful!), babbling brook along the property that was beautiful (even in the depths of winter), minutes to Whiteface, easy and quick proximity to hiking trails and outdoor activities, and a quick ride to the lovely town of Lake Placid. This will be our family go-to rental first choice for our frequent trips to Wilmington! Can’t recommend it enough!

Being close to Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid means we can easily enjoy skiing, hiking, and exploring, yet always return to a peaceful, private haven.

Our history here makes every visit feel meaningful, and we take pride in sharing this beloved destination with guests seeking unforgettable experiences.
