Indigo Studio Loft

Indigo Studio Loft is a second story loft space in a converted Mason's lodge and shares the entry stair with a quiet yoga/pilates studio. Perfect for couples or singles wanting a quiet place to work, get away from the big city, or be in a central location for site seeing on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Walking distance to one restaurant, and short distance to 2 convenience stores, post office, library, taco truck, and other restaurants.

Complete with kitchen, full bath, laundry, Broadband WIFI, 50” TV, a dining/workspace and lounge area, comfortable pillow-top queen sleigh bed. Everything is self-contained.

Access from street level through first floor security door, then to your locked private loft suite. Guest are welcome to join in on a drop-in basis (reasonable $20 fee) to the yoga/pilates classes with Karen Dougherty next door.

Weekend Getaway

Wonderful weekend getaway. Check-In was a breeze. The room was great with a full kitchen, very comfortable bed, great tv, and nice large bathroom. Everything was clean and we definitely will be returning in the future.

Stop on the way to Nagshead

Very nice loft, had a little angst trying to get the bottom door unlocked but finally opened. Neighbors walking down the street very nice and helpful with dinner suggestions. Place next door great pizza.

Great Location & Spacious Space

My daughter and I rented this for a Mother’s Day trip! We had so much fun and the space was great! I loved that there was a full kitchen with everything we needed to make a meal and the shower was so cool! My daughter enjoyed the Roku! One thing we did have to do was cover the bathroom window we felt to exposed maybe a better covering would be efficient. Otherwise it was great! The location allowed us to go Ocean City MD one day, Cape Charles and VA Beach another day and even enjoyed seeing the liberty lady in town! Thanks for your low prices, clean spacious space, and hospitality! It definitely was magic!

The location and space were perfect for my needs. Liked that it was on 2nd floor and not street level. Caution future guests that there are only steps to access 2nd floor.

Comfortable and Quiet

This studio was in the perfect location for a weekend trip for a wedding in Eastville. Cape Charles is 20 minutes away. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet. We would book again.

I liked that I was the only person in the building. Did not like the front main entry door because it was difficult to lock and there was a connecting door to anothe big empty room that did not have a slide lock for security

The PERFECT little spot!!!

Cozy, comfortable, and convenient!!! Very nicely decorated and clean. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of being the only ones there. The kitchen was a huge money saver, made several meals there during our 8 day stay. And the washer and dryer was a huge plus!! It was perfectly located for everywhere we wanted to go to. It is the perfect little spot!!

Just a Delightful and Comfortable Place to Stay

We totally enjoyed staying in Richard's eclectic and well laid out efficiency apartment. We knew a soon as we saw the front of his building, that this would be a cool place. There's a neat (antiques, local art, etc)shop below on the first floor, nice (but not fancy)Italian and Spanish cuisine restaurant next door (Little Italy) with a super friendly wait staff. The second floor apartment shares a stair and landing with a laid back yoga studio and friendly instructor (next time we will try a yoga session). The apartment has a large comfortable bed, TV , cable and internet access . A full kitchen, with range, micro, dishwasher, fridge and washer & dryer. The bathroom is well appointed with a pebble floor large walk-in shower and a large window overlooking the local Post Office and a potted plant vendor. The owner publishes Horse related books and is one helluva a nice guy. Richard made sure that we had everything we needed and was quick to offer recommendations for local eateries etc. If you have the opportunity to stay in one of Richard's vacation rentals, do it! Richard, we shall return (hopefully this year) because as well as being a great place to stay, your property is central to many of the local coastal areas from Cape Charles (south) to Onancock, to Chincoteague & Assateague (north). This area is laid back and pretty devoid of the usual shore related trappings (crap!), so If you want a relaxed vacation..... (need I say more). Oh and don't forget to visit local artist (painter), Danny Doughty's studio in scenic Onancock. (and tell Richard, that Gail and Brad sent you!). BB & GB

Couldn’t be better

Richard’s place was impeccably clean and pleasantly decorated! It was so nice that Richard show cased some of his art on the walls. Richard and Francie were friendly and helpful. This all added up to a restful time!

It is quiet and private, self-contained unit with 2 levels of locked security. Second floor space. Access to yoga/pilates studio (same floor). Convenient to Indigo store downstairs, Little Italy restaurant, Brownsville Nature Conservancy, Northampton Public Library, Heritage Hall, Rayfield's Pharmacy.
