We had a great stay at Thelma’s Dawn! Christi and Rick were welcoming without being overbearing. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed going out on the kayaks and the golf cart. We got to do some fun birdwatching and watched the sun set over the bay. It was a beautiful place and the next time we make a trip up this way we would definitely come back!

If you love beautiful sunsets, a private beach, campfires, peace and quiet and amazing stars at night, then this is your place! We spent 3 nights and can't wait to go back. Christi and Rick were so pleasant and friendly. Loved the small community atmosphere. We enjoyed the kayaking, relaxing on the beach and cooked a brisket in the smoker. Riding the golf cart was fun too! Thanks Christi and Rick for sharing your little piece of paradise!!

Excellent Accommodations!

Super friendly host and lovely cottage!! Steps from the bay with a private beach! Close to Cape Charles for food and shopping.

Beautiful Peaceful Stay

We enjoyed a beautiful, peaceful stay, it's a return visit to the property for us, so we knew what to expect and look forward to it. Never disappointed staying here, Christi helps you feel very welcome to use and enjoy the property.

Great Getaway

We had a great time at Thelma’s Dawn and so did our pups! Christi made our first trip to the Eastern Shore a memorable one!

We were made to feel right at home. All of our needs were met and our hosts were so friendly!

We had the best time on the pedal boat, exploring the beach and eating some of the best clam chowder I have ever had! We we're made to feel at home by our gracious hosts. We will definitely be coming back for more fun in the sand!

Our stay was very pleasant. Christi was an excellent host. We enjoyed the sandy beach and sunsets as well as a day in the Cape Charles area - Kiptopeke State Park and dinner at The Shanty.

Owner very hospitable. Great location.

Really enjoyed the beach in the kayak. Golf carts for fun and the other guests were friendly. Have a nice dinner and Wachapreague on the water. Very comfortable setting, felt welcome, beautiful area and I would like to visit again.

Gorgeous and relaxing

We loved every minute of our laid-back stay at this gorgeous property. Grilled, swam, kayaked and ran around with our dog, who had a great time too. We’ll return!

Southern Hospitality at its Best!

Christi went above and beyond to make our one night stay comfortable, eventful and fun! We loved the night fishing (caught a shark!), Japanese lanterns, beach and kayaking. Christi truly made us feel like family.

Peaceful and exactly what I needed

Perfect place to unwind

By the way...still no crabs and no fish. The Fisheries have been contacted about the lack of seafood in the bay, but we still do not know what is going on. I will keep you posted though!

We had a wonderful time in Silver Beach

We really had a great time over there! My kids played all day long at the beach , kayaking, swimming or even just sitting at the beach were great . My dog even had a wonderful time there swimming and running on the beach. Christine and Rick were very helpful to make a good time for us. We hope we can come back again!!

Great place with a terrific host!!

We had an amazing time on our weekend stay. Christi is an awesome host who really goes over and above to be sure you have a great time. Loved launching the Japanese lanterns over the bay with her.The apartment had everything we needed and then some and the location can't be beat. The only downside was the weekend was too short!! Hoping we can get back for a longer stay soon!

great stay on the bay

lovely quiet neighborhood in rural area. Kristy and Rick offer amenities you may not have at other properties. fishing gear, paddle boards, sea kayaks beach chairs and umbrella. dont worry if you forgot something. Our hosts were very accommodating and wanted to be sure we enjoyed our stay

AMAZING VACATION with amazing people

The host is the most friendly, helpful, fun person We have ever come across. It was like being part of the family and still alone on vacation with the love of my life. So many fun activities like fishing , golf carts, sports, and bonfires right on the beach. We’re definitely coming back as soon as possible and I’d recommend this to anyone, couple, family, that wants to escape to a private paradise with a home feeling

This was our second time booking with Christi at this property, and we love it. She's an amazing host that does so much to make the entire property safe, fun, and accessible. The property location was very good once you got the the beach. The property had a lot of stuff piled against the garage that was located right outside the apartment from door which took away a lot of the atmosphere of the property.
