The waiver does not cover intentional or negligent damage, smoking, unauthorized pets or guests, missing items, excessive cleaning, rule violations, fines, or damage exceeding $1,000. Guests remain financially responsible for excluded damage and any costs above the coverage limit.

It wasn’t exactly the photos that they showed online, but they do tell you that in advance. They were working on some updates when we were there, which was nice to see.

I’ve stayed at Ocean Pointe over 20 times, and this is the first time I’ve ever left less than a 5-star review. The listing photos showed a fully renovated, modern unit with stainless appliances, updated flooring, and quality finishes. The unit we received was completely different. This wasn’t “different decor”—it was an older, worn-down unit with white appliances, a rusted coil-top stove and toaster, cracked floor tiles, damaged cabinets, rusted bathroom fixtures, missing hardware, a ceiling A/C vent hanging open, and obvious deferred maintenance throughout. I booked this unit because of the photos. Had the actual condition been shown, I would have booked one of the many nicer units available. Customer service was even worse. We received one bath towel for the entire stay, one roll of toilet paper, no sponge, and no pool towels. I requested more towels and reported maintenance issues starting on day one and followed up every day. Nothing was ever addressed. I spent over an hour on the phone with VRBO, and their only solution was to cancel my reservation during the July 4th weekend and find somewhere else to stay. The photos are misleading, the service was nonexistent, and I cannot recommend booking this unit.

We understand how disappointing it must have been to arrive and find that the unit did not match the photos you viewed when making your reservation. We appreciate you bringing the concerns regarding the condition of the unit, including the furnishings, appliances, flooring, fixtures, and maintenance items, to our attention. We will share this feedback with the property team for review and follow-up. We are also sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the provided supplies, towels, and the lack of response to your requests during your stay. We understand the frustration of reporting concerns and not seeing them addressed, particularly during a holiday weekend, and we regret that this impacted your vacation experience. Thank you again for your feedback. We take these concerns seriously and will use your comments to help address areas where improvements are needed.
