About Coni Scott

Coni, Mary Ann and Terry are your hosts at Alder Creek Cabin. We are retired and truly enjoy living in the Mt. Hood Area. The best thing about our rental cabin is: 'We get to meet people from all over the world.'

Coni Scott purchased this cabin in 1991

Why Coni Scott chose Mt. Hood, The Gorge

The property was bought as a project. We wanted to be in the mountains and at a low elevation as we enjoy gardening. Since we have been here we have created a history that we enjoy sharing with our guests including words and pictures. Be sure to ask how this magnificent place came to be.

What makes this cabin unique

Close to everything.

Amazing Experience We Will Remember for a Lifetime. We Will Be Back!

  • 5 of 5

Add us to the list of people who use VRBO all the time and believe that this is the nicest one we have ever rented. The quality of the cabin and the attention to detail are a wonder to behold. Connie, Terry and Mary Ann are gracious and wonderful hosts. The outdoor areas, including their Japanese Garden are impeccably manicured and it creates such a peaceful and relaxing setting, you never want to leave. It is a short walk to a beautiful stretch on the Sandy River that is secluded and peaceful. We can't wait to go back!!!!!!! We give it our highest recommendation!!!!

Best VRBO I've stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed in dozens of VRBOs around the country, and the Alder Creek Cabin is best stay I've experienced. The cabin is beautiful, down to every detail. The hot tub under the trees is the best place to relax and catch up with whomever is lucky enough to go with you. And Coni, Terry and Mary Ann are the most gracious hosts you'll meet. They make you feel like you've known them for decades while at the same time providing you with all the privacy you want. I can't recommend this cabin highly enough. You'll see what I mean when you stay there!

Great Experience!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my girlfriend recently stayed at the Alder Creek Cabin. We had an awesome time! The cabin was very cozy and well kept. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub well it was raining out. The hosts were great! We had breakfast both mornings and it was delicious! We will definitely be staying again!

New favorite vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

This was hands down the best VRBO I've ever stayed in! Every detail was payed attention. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful, so warm and welcoming. The property looks exactly like the pictures. The grounds are gated and offer quite a bit of privacy. The cabin was clean and cozy. We had such a relaxing time lounging in the hot tub after a day up the mountain. The old stone fireplace was another great spot to curl up and lounge. I also enjoyed reading in the deep claw foot tub. It was the perfect getaway, to say the least. And don't forget to hunt for the seven mice portraits hidden throughout the cabin. I would suggest inquiring about the bed and breakfast package. Breakfast, served in the main house, was absolutely delicious and further enriched our already wonderful experience. Thanks to the quaint grounds, the beautifully restored cabin and our beyond amazing hosts, our time spent there was incredibly memorable! Thank you, Coni, Terry and Mary Ann. We cannot wait to come back!

Honeymoon Escape / Oregon Introduction

  • 5 of 5

While visiting Oregon for the first time my wife and I on our Honeymoon chose this cabin because we wanted privacy with a rustic feel. This little Gem did not disappoint in any way! A quick overview with the hosts and then we were lost in the quietness of the Cabin, the privacy of the Hot Tub and shower house, TV, Movies, Books, Maps, History and did I mention how peaceful the Cabin was!? The Cabin has perfect rustic charm with all the amenities to serve as a base camp for day trips in the Mt. Hood area or simply relax all day enjoying the fully furnished family oriented cabin. Walk through the gardens, visit the Koi in the several water ponds with small waterfalls/streams, say hello to the two well mannered and friendly dogs, watch the birds and if you listen carefully you can hear the river flowing just a short ways from the Cabin. A simple but somehow magical place we will not soon forget. Breakfast was one of the best meals we had all trip and they didn't stop there. We briefly discussed our goals for our trip and they voluntarily mapped out some suggestions, informed us of potential road closures, local stops and even took the time to call a friend and get us a tour of a local Plant Nursery! Over the top customer service that you could tell was natural and genuine! Down right friendly folk! This will be a must on our future adventures to the area! A short drive from the Portland Airport with great access to the Mt. Hood area and beyond! If you are reading this as a potential guest I without a doubt recommend making your reservations immediately. Coni, Terry and Mary Ann will take excellent care of you! 6 STARS!!!!

When we asked our guests for advice on what to include in “Special Attractions”, this was the number one comment.

Oh, tell them about the MICE!! So okay here we go…………………….

There are seven painted portraits of little mice, you are welcome to look for them but you don’t have to. They are all in plain sight and you don’t move anything. They welcome you and hope you will find them. There is a record kept as many guests have contests with each other. Oh, I almost forget, there is one included in our presentation. Remember you don’t have to move a thing. Let us know how you did. Coni@aldercreekcabin

Good Luck!
