About Jonathan Besler

Our family grew up going to the Shore in this neighborhood, a truly special place for us. We love the neighborhood, the people, the private beach access. The house was designed to be comfortable for a large family or families because we love gathering here.

Jonathan Besler purchased this house in 2010

Why Jonathan Besler chose Long Beach Island

After purchasing this house, in the same neighborhood that we grew up coming to, we tried our best to renovate but try to keep the beachy feel of the place. We had the kitchen re-done and carpets as well as other projects throughout the house. There are a ton of windows and open space and it is a large home great for having a few families in at one time.

What makes this house unique

Parking pass (1) and beach badges (6) included. Extras available for purchase by Long Beach Township

Awesome house for multiple families

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for a wedding on the island. There were families and the house provided ample space and rooms to allow everyone a place to go, including the kids. I would recommend some furniture updates in the living room, but when you think about it, and outside one day of rain, we were rarely inside the house sitting there.

Great house can accomodate large families

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here the summer of 2015 with several families with young children (ages 1-3) and several grandparents.

The house has a super open floor plan which was nice for everyone hanging out. There was very good sound insulation on the walls - with the door closed and a white noise sound machine, the babies were able to take their naps in the middle of the day no problem, despite the open floor plan and a lot of hustle and bustle noise.

Great location several blocks from beautiful beaches, which were not crowded at all in July. We ended up driving and parking at the beach a lot because we had very young children, but it's very walkable for older kids.

The backyard had a beautiful serene view on the lagoon, and there was an awesome backyard recreation area. Plenty of area to hang out and lounge, go fishing or crabbing, exercise, or grill . We ended up getting some great family photos in the late afternoon one day.

There is a full gas grill, we didn't use it because one of the grandparents was a master chef whiz in the kitchen, but I can see it being really nice to grill/eat out on the patio, while looking over the water .

My family usually get mosquito bites very easily but there didn't seem to be any mosquitos around. I didn't really get any bites and didn't use insect repellent.

One note - the front and back of the house have super large and tall windows which face pretty much directly east and west. The downstairs common area and eating area had no window shades so the house gets a lot of sun. If you usually like to cover up from the sun this may be an issue for you but if you really like basking in the sun all day, then it's great.

The washing machine had an issue due to previous tenant jamming it but owners were very responsive and helpful.

In general the furniture and beds were older, and some of the bathrooms have older fixtures, but overall we were satisfied.

One of the grandmas cooked almost every meal so we used the kitchen heavily. It is a smaller kitchen for such a big house but most people prob don't cook every meal. We did notice little things like no lights above the stove area and very dull knives but these are probably normal for any beach house. On the plus side they did have a small blender that we used. There is only indoor seating for 6 people but plenty of outdoor chairs that you can eat on the patio or in the screened- in room.

Owners were very nice and easy to deal with, and promptly returned our security deposit.

So lovely!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! We had such a wonderful stay here! Not only was the home very clean and beautiful, but the whole atmosphere (especially back deck!) was amazing! Plenty of room for everyone to have some privacy and also be together as a group. The renters were great to work with! They were so helpful, timely and courteous! Will definitely be coming back!

Family Vacation Aug 2-9 2014

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful renovated home this past August 2014. The home was very comfortable and the kids loved fishing off the back dock catching snapper fish. I rented a kayak and enjoyed paddling out to the bay and marshland with my sons and wife. Brit also answered any question or concerns that I had during our stay. Additionally my deposit was refunded promptly after our stay was over. The beach was a short walk away and I would recommend staying here for a family vacation. We had a total of 14 people (kids and adults) and never felt crowded.

Great location for family vacation

  • 5 of 5

My whole family loved the house and location. With 9 adults and 5 grandkids under 10, it was perfect for us. Three blocks to a gorgeous, life guard protected and not crowded beach. A short drive to several small towns for shopping and the house is within walking distance of the LBI Arts and Wildlife center. The second floor "loft" area was perfect for the grand kids to hangout and play and just be together. The deck and patio were plenty big with a nice size table and the dock area where you can crab (pots supplies) and try fishing was a pleasant bonus.

Everything was immaculate and bed linens and towels were supplied. The owner was easily accessible for any questions or concerns which were resolved very quickly.
