About this property
NEW! Capitol Hill w/ Skyline View & Cozy Backyard
Welcome to Cedar & Sound — your calm nest in the heart of Capitol Hill, where you’ll feel at home between trees and tide.
This modern townhome brings the wild calm of the PNW into Seattle’s best neighborhood for food, drinks, and hidden gems. Wake up to skyline views, soft light, and cozy textures. Wander Capitol Hill’s nightlife, catch a show downtown, or breathe in the salt air at the Sound — city energy and PNW stillness in one.
--
Spread out across four thoughtfully designed levels, Cedar & Sound is made for both connection and quiet moments. Two spacious bedrooms with queen beds are separated for privacy — one on the first floor with a nearby full bathroom and access to the backyard, and the primary suite on the top floor with its own en suite bath. In between, an open-concept kitchen and living area invites slow mornings, cozy movie nights, or shared meals around the table.
Step outside to your own backyard oasis with soft turf, comfy lounge seating, and patio lights — or head up to the private rooftop deck with stunning skyline views of downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound. Big windows and an end-unit layout mean plenty of natural light throughout. Warm, Scandinavian-inspired touches — natural wood, plush blankets, and thoughtful details — make the space feel like a true retreat in the city, and your perfect home base between the trees and the tide.
A well-stocked kitchen with Bosch appliances, a 65" TV with Google Home, high-speed Wi-Fi, mini-split AC/heat, an onsite washer/dryer, and a dedicated workspace all ensure a comfortable stay, whether you’re here for a weekend or a longer visit. We’re family-friendly (pack ’n play, high chair, baby gates — but not fully childproofed), with a guest street parking pass and Light Rail just 5 blocks away for easy exploring.

HOUSE RULES
• Pets: We love animals, but Cedar & Sound is not pet-friendly at this time. Thank you for understanding.
• Quiet hours & gatherings: Strictly no parties or events. Outdoor quiet hours are 11pm–8am. We love our neighbors and want you to feel at home, but this is not a party house. Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the property, including the backyard and rooftop deck. Violations may result in a $250 fine per incident, plus any additional cleaning costs if needed.
• Seattle didn’t earn the nickname “Jet City” for nothing — our neighborhood is close to one of the city’s flight paths, like much of Capitol Hill. You may hear the occasional airplane overhead, mostly during daytime hours. Many guests find it just part of Seattle’s lively city feel.

About the host
Hosted by Lacey Jones
Hi, I’m Lacey — a PNW local who loves creating spaces that feel calm, inspiring, and connected to nature. My family and I split our time between Seattle and Utah, and we’ve poured our hearts into designing this home to capture that cozy “Hygge-meets-PNW” vibe we love so much. Hosting is my way of sharing our favorite city with others — whether you’re here to explore, recharge, or just enjoy great food and views.
Why they chose this property
We actually chose this home for ourselves and lived here full-time for two years before turning it into a short-term rental. Capitol Hill quickly became our favorite corner of Seattle — it’s vibrant, walkable, and full of character. You can stroll to coffee shops, vintage boutiques, and leafy parks within minutes, or hop on the light rail and be downtown in no time. We love how the neighborhood balances the energy of the city with quiet pockets of calm — from morning walks through Volunteer Park to cozy dinners at local restaurants, it has the perfect mix of city life and peaceful retreat.
What makes this property unique
Our location truly sets Cedar & Sound apart. The home sits in the heart of Capitol Hill — one of Seattle’s most vibrant, walkable neighborhoods — yet feels like a quiet escape from the city’s energy. It’s perfectly situated: close enough to stroll to coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife, but tucked away in a peaceful residential pocket that offers privacy and calm. Within our small community, our townhome is on the very-most inside row at the center of the block, giving guests the rare combination of tranquility and sweeping views of downtown Seattle. It’s the best of both worlds — right next to everything, yet blissfully serene when you’re ready to unwind.
