We met my parents and step sister in Gulf Shores as a half way point. The accomodations were adequate and clean, but the interior could use some updating. There was significant wifi issues for several days and the phone was down a day as well. The biggest issue is the strict parking rules. We were allowed 2 parking passes, which we paid for at what I consider a high price, and in my opinion should be part of the rental fee. We needed one additional pass for only 4 days. At the rental office we explained this and were told to contact the security guard on duty, however there was no security guard on duty. We parked the extra car and put contact info in the window, the call we received was a significant threat to tow the vehicle and very little interest in what we were told about contacting a security guard. We eventually were able to purchase an additional pass, but it is extremely frustrating, and we had to go to the renal office to purchase. I think Gulf Shores Rentals and Island Royale need to reconsider parking policies or run the risk of alienating return customers.
