Island Royale #1105 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 11th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1015 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with white appliances in granite counter tops with a washer and dryer housed in separate laundry room. There are 2 full baths. The gulf-side master bathroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom with standalone shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, access to the hall bath from the bedroom, which has a shower/tub combo. November 2015 – new 48” smart TV in living room, October 2016-new smart TV in master. King, Queen and Sofa Sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Island Royale is a 16 story building with 6 units per floor located 0.8 miles west of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Island Royale has swim-thru pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise room. The property also has a grilling/picnic area. 2 car limit. You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Island Royale is a NO SMOKING facility, this includes balconies. Smoking is allowed only by the bbq area.

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

The condo is very clean and spacious and you can’t beat the location. I found that the master bed was very uncomfortable and I really thought for the money you pay that you should have basic necessities like a hair dryer and more than one role of toilet paper and at least a few complimentary coffees/filters. We have stayed at many units st Island Royale and they ALL have had those items. However, it was ultimately my fault for not reading the email they send you the week before check in where they reminded me to bring those “extras”.

Time away

The condo was super clean, and a magnificent view! I stayed there with my son, daughter in law and their one year old son. It was spacious and well laid out, we had plenty of room! We were close to many restaurants that were walkable via sidewalk or beach, this was a plus for us. I would definitely stay at this unit again.

Much needed downtime

We were able to get in the condo early, and we were super happy about that. It looked just liked the pictures. It had been 14 years since being at Gulf Shores and it was beautiful and the condo was perfect. I intend on booking next year.

Wonderful location, condo is in good shape, beautiful view and very comfortable furniture and beds. They have chairs, floats and sand toys with the rental. Definitely a bonus!Master bed frame is a hazard and should be addressed, someone will break a toe or foot. They should have simple accessories like a hair dryer.Only 2 elevators, over 50% of the time, only one worked. I would stay here again in hopes they could work on the elevators and bed frame.. for the amount of people that rent, I don’t believe there should be issues that last longer than a few hours.. not days.

Great Girls Trip

This condo was perfect for our girls trip. Everything was just as pictured. Great location, and we had a super nice security guard named Joe who was so welcoming and friendly. It was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The view from the balcony was fabulous, we saw sharks, stingrays and dolphins. The furniture is a little dated but the sofa and loveseat were still pretty comfy. The only thing I would change would be the mattresses, they weren't terrible but fairly uncomfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: Great trip, great view, great location.Was told there was designated parking spot but that was not accurate...we have parking passes and there was plenty of general spots so it wasn't an issue. The beds are very firm so if that isn't your preference, you won't like them. Being on the beach and the balcony was amazing. Made any issue with the beds no big deal. Would recommend and would stay there again.

We let out the couch and it was full of crumbs so I swept it over to the entertainment center and as my broom went under I found about 4o puzzle pieces. The sofa sleeper wasn't comfortable either.

Spring break 2023

Nice condo. Could use some updates, but that wasn’t a concern for us. It was clean and well maintained. Beautiful view of the gulf. We liked the location. Close to stores and restaurants, but not right in the middle of all of it. We only went to the pool area one time, but it was nice with the indoor/outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Wish it included beach chairs and umbrellas. It was $200 for a 6 day rental, but nice to have them set up and taken down each day, so we didn’t have to worry about that every time we went up and down to the room. A suggestion for improved service would be to include a couple more of the dishwasher pods. We would definitely stay here again!

Not without issues

Great location, beautiful view, older but nice condo. However not without issues. Keypad for door quit working, not a big deal. Shower in 2nd bathroom would not drain. Communication was not great, and no follow up that it was completed. Giant tear in MBR sheets. Not sure how this was missed. Upon arrival there were long black hairs on the dark mat outside master bath shower, so that obviously wasn't cleaned and/or fresh. Lastly, for 600 a night, the fact that they cheap out and only give you 1 roll of TP for each bathroom and expect you to go buy more instead of just leaving a couple extras that would cost them less than a couple bucks is quite ridiculous.
