Come stay in the heart of historic New Bern, where charm and comfort meet. Our 1900 home is full of character and modern touches, just 3 blocks from the Riverwalk and minutes from downtown restaurants, shops, and waterfront views.

Sleep Comfortably:
• Two cozy bedrooms upstairs with plush beds and fresh linens.
• The living room sofa converts into a comfy bed if you prefer to stay on the main level.

Fully Updated Kitchen:
Modern appliances and everything you need to cook and enjoy meals at home.

Pet Friendly:
Your furry friend is welcome! The fully fenced yard gives them space to play and stretch their legs safely.

Pet Policy
We are pet friendly, and the yard is fully fenced in. There is a pet fee of $50/stay. Please be sure to select pets for your reservation.
There will be a charge of $100 for any pet that is not on the reservation prior to arrival.
Please pick up after your pet and place a protective barrier on furniture to prevent stains. Thank you!

There is one camera outside on the front porch. The camera captures views of the front door, sidewalk, and part of the side yard.

Property was exceptionally clean and well appointed with everything one might need. Lots of charm and character in this older home. The home is conveniently located to everything in the historic district. We would definitely consider staying here again. The host was quick to reply to any correspondence which I certainly appreciated.

Perfect pet friendly getaway near the downtown area of New Bern. The house was spotless and absolutely adorable! The host thought of everything. So accommodating and comfortable.

We had a great stay in New Bern! This is an older, but very charming house. It’s walking distance to downtown, so it was perfect for us. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The side yard is fenced in and perfect for our fur babies. April was quick to respond with check in/ out info, and to any questions I had. I definitely give this 5 stars and highly recommend!

Great, cozy, comfortable, close to everything. We loved staying here. The space is charming and we had everything we needed. We appreciated having plenty of towels in kitchen and baths, a comfortable bed, the lovely blooming Confederate jasmine, and an easy walk to everything in the historic district. We didn't bring pets but even though the space allows pets, it was super clean. No trace of past furry friends. Check in and out was easy and April was very responsive to questions. We would gladly rent this space again!

The house was great alternative to a hotel because we have 2 miniature dachshunds and we enjoyed being able to be so close to downtown, take them into the yard, not worry about the occassional bark, etc. The house was neat, clean and the process was extremely easy. These old, historic houses are interesting because they are "old", but that adds to the charm. We were very happy with our stay and recommend this property and April to anyone visiting New Bern. It's also right across from the Police Station which might be a comfort to some.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic property within walking distance to downtown New Bern. The features and historic quirks made the house extra special. It was clean and cozy. While we didn't bring our pet, the home is pet friendly, as advertised. The couch provided an additional firm sleeping option in addition to the 2 upstairs bedrooms; instead of a bed pulling up from the sofa, you folded out additional cushions and slept directly on the sofa. The few downsides were lack of dishwasher and being directly across the street from the police department. But there are plenty of nearby shops and dining options within a 10 to 15 minute walk, and Tryon Palace and the firemen museum are walkable, too. Overall, I would recommend this stay and the host was excellent.

What a treat to spend a weekend in this amazing home. The house was so comfortable and totally walkable to downtown. The yard was great for my pup. I hope to get back when the weather is a bit cooler.

My husband and I moved here as an active-duty Marine family over 20 years ago. Our family grew and so did our love for this sweet town of New Bern. During that time we’ve watched this charming town grow into a vibrant destination filled with art, entertainment, and year-round activities for all ages. We love the river sports, the community events, and the warm, welcoming spirit that makes New Bern such a special place to call home.

From Tryon Palace and the historic homes, to ghost walks, local restaurants, theaters, Bear Town events, and endless river activities—New Bern offers something for everyone in every season.

We’re excited to share our pet-friendly home with visitors who want to experience the best of New Bern. Located within walking distance to many of the city’s most popular attractions, the home is cozy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a true home-away-from-home experience.

Living & Dining Areas - The space is well laid out, open, and comfortable for relaxing or gathering. The dining island is a floating island and can be moved for convenience, such as bringing it closer to the kitchen for meal prep. It also rotates for comfort—just be mindful not to bump the walls.

Upstairs Areas - Books are available upstairs in the library nook for your enjoyment during your stay. You may notice the unique slope of the floor, a charming characteristic of this century-old home. The beds are arranged to accommodate this feature.

This home carries over a century of charm and history, and we’ve taken great care to make it a warm and comfortable space for you. We hope your stay in New Bern—and especially in our home on Queen Street—is a memorable and lovely experience.
