Second time staying at Zoey and Wayne’s wonderful condo in the Casa Del Mar / Zoetry resort. Have stayed in several places in this resort over the years and this is by far our favorite. Amazing view, beautiful and tranquil property with several nice pools overlooking the beach, and their condo is spotlessly clean, comfortable with great amenities and thoughtful touches. Pretty swimming cove an easy 10 min walk down the beach. Zoey and Wayne are great hosts and very responsive. Looking forward to our next visit.

WOW!

We had a fantastic stay! Communication with the owners was exceptional, the view was stunning, and we were lucky to have the pool entirely to ourselves for most of our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities throughout the property were excellent. We especially appreciated the high-end washer/dryer/dishwasher. The staff at the nearby restaurants were warm and welcoming, which added to the great experience. Oh, and we enjoyed the tennis and pickleball courts so much - they were well maintained, felt like they were brand new. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Property!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Zoey & Wayne's getaway retreat and will be returning! Especially enjoyed the 5-star hotel amenities! The pool is excellent with a Zen feel ...very chill and not over-crowded or obnoxious. All accurate details of this listing. Clean, cozy, and well-equipped. Can't say enough and can't wait to return!!!

Was time for sun and heat


We chose this part of Mexico for its location as a quick and easy weeks’ getaway from Calgary for some needed sun and heat. Our VRBO choices (there’s been many) are determined in a large part by other guests ratings. Here’s our take, the pros and cons to offer.Pros: -Zoey and Wayne are exceptional hosts in every way. -The ‘casita’ is clean (big deal for me) and nicely decorated and it provided all you would need and more for a weeks’ stay.- The resort itself is very well maintained and beautiful.- The resort staff is excellent, always quick to assist if needed.- We preferred the San Jose town to that of busier Cabo San Lucas. - Came for sun and heat and we got it.Cons:- some of the cabinetry in the kitchen is in need of repair and lubrication on squeaking doors, particularly bedroom closet.- we were somewhat disappointed with the overall service and meals we had at the resort’s various restaurants. We did however, find a great little cafe for many of our meals, called ‘The Cream Cafe and Bar’ located in a small strip mall nearby.Thanks Zoeys and Wayne!

Beautiful condo in peaceful location

I really hope to get back to this condo one day. First trip to Cabo was everything we could have wanted and all thanks to this wonderful booking. The condo itself is perfection and dealing with Zoey was so simple and worry-free. The Zoetry property is stunning and so beautifully maintained.

Absolutely perfect!!!

Very easy to get to; perfectly placed between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. 2nd floor allowed for an unobstructed view to the ocean. There is an elevator but easier to use the stairs. The condo had everything we could have needed! The bed was very comfortable and the ceiling fan puts off enough circulation so we didn't have to use the AC very much at all. The property is gated, was beautifully landscaped, and pretty quiet with the exception of some renovations in nearby units. Being able to use the pool at the hotel was nice but we spent majority of our time using the cabanas by the beach! Grocery stores and other shops are close too. Communication with the host was excellent!! The unit comes with a large balcony and we really enjoyed opening the sliding doors but keeping the screens closed in the evenings so we could listen to the waves but kept out any unwanted guests :) The best thing was arriving to the guac, salsa, and Topo Chico! Hands down the best VRBO experience I've had to date!

Exceeded ALL Expectations!

Absolutely a gorgeous property and the unit was beautifully stocked with everything we needed and more! The staff was friendly and gave excellent service! The restaurants were all amazing! You truly do not need to leave the property if you don't want to! Grocery store was 5 mins away. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed! We highly recommend this property!

Amazing hosts/Wonderful property and location!

From start to finish, Zoey and Wayne were amazing hosts. I can't say enough about their hospitality and care. They were thorough and timely in all communications and provided great tips to help make the most of local resources and the outlying area. The condo was lovely, conveniently located on the resort property and was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay..down to the welcome chips, guacamole and cold beverages upon our arrival. The Casa Del Mar property was just right for us too..a quiet, boutique resort right on the beach with a variety of activities offered and multiple pools to enjoy. We walked to the swimmable beach, got massages on the beach in front of a nearby resort, visited the Friday farmers market/ shops at Pamilla, had groceries delivered the day we arrived - all at Zoey's recommendation and were not disappointed. We arrived exhausted and left refreshed and renewed. Will definitely come back!

Absolute Gem!

Stunning views, beautiful resort grounds, comfortable one bedroom with ocean views from the bed, main room and patio, many pool options (full service pool or other pools for your own picnic), great restaurants on site with reasonable rates compared to other nearby resorts, 15 minute walk to swimming beach, what more could we wish for? We hope to stay again soon!

Beautiful, relaxing

The bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in away from home. Very cute and comfortable condo- short walk from the ocean, pool, and amazing restaurants. The servers/staff are excellent. We really loved Josefat, he’d bring us drinks and food by the pool. It was a great distance between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose. We would come again

Amazing Vacation

From the moment we booked our trip our host went above and beyond with welcoming us and communication. The place and location are exceptional. The property was very clean and the view was stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better location, view and host. This was my first time using VRBO and it was just seamless. I can’t say enough positive praises. Beautiful Place

We had a wonderful stay at Wayne and Zoey's home. Everything was as advertised - beautiful and cozy space with great views of the ocean and desert landscape. Comfortable bed and a great bathroom and shower. Kitchen was well-stocked along with thoughtful water, salsa, guac and beer in the fridge when we arrrived. Zoey was quickly responsive when we had a question, and we loved the Casa Del Mar property... quiet and peaceful grounds, nice pools, and friendly people ... all right on the ocean. Would definitely stay here again.

Every detail about the property was as described. Host was very responsive and provided us with details to make our ground transportation and excursion selections a breeze. Amazing property and location!

What a fantastic condo! Everything was perfect - we took Zoey and Wayne's advice on airport shuttle transportation and to order groceries and beverages from Prickly Pear deliver service. Both worked out great. Our check in / check out was flawless and the complimentary chips, guacamole, salsa and cold beers were an awesome touch. 40th Anniversary

We came to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The condo was well prepared and we found everything that we needed. Even with a few small mishaps (that taken care of promptly) this was an excellent experience. The owners quickly communicated on anything that arose. The staff of the resort was always polite, and attentive. We dined at the various restaurants on the property and we’re pleased for the most part, especially The Saltwater for dinner. The only suggestion would be to expand dining options for lunch.

No Bad Days

Exactly as described with an incredible view! We enjoyed an amazing 3 weeks at Zoey & Wayne's condo. Peaceful days full of sun, margaritas and whale watching. Thoughtful and welcoming owners provide everything you need and more. Zoetry staff were friendly and attentive, really making us feel at home for the duration of our stay. We had a wonderful time and definitely intend on returning.

Perfect!

Wow, such a great condo! With all the bells and whistles and then some. Only gave 4 stars about the check-in process as it took awhile to get our welcome envelope and had no parking pass (but didn’t need one anyway). Greeted with fresh flowers, chips and fresh salsa and guacamole. Not to mention several bottles of alcohol left over from previous renters. We ordered our groceries online through prickly pear after we saw what was already provided and were delivered as promised the next day. Easy peasy! The condo itself has a great floor plan with ocean views galore. Sliders out to patio from both living room and bedroom. Note: all food and beverages at the resort have to be paid by credit card only. You can tip in US$ or pesos. (We exchanged our dollars for pesos at the airport and found out it’s a better deal to do that in town.) The food at Casa del Mar was very good: El Arroyo Restaurant had great service; Saltwater Restaurant service was slow but good food. Just be patient and enjoy the view! Uber was the way to go! Super reliable and very reasonable. They will text you and ask for your building and room number and pick you up next to your building. Enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you Zoey and Wayne!!!

Peaceful retreat

What a gem this place is! Exactly what the listing said it would be and more! Super clean, quiet, beautiful views. And the owners were terrific! Easy to communicate with questions. Absolutely no problems the whole week. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Even had beach towels for us. Chairs. Everything you could need. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to go back!!

Best Vacation Yet!!!

We absolutely LOVED our time here!! We live in Seattle, WA and have been dying to find a winter vacation spot that we can keep coming back to over and over again and THIS PLACE IS IT! Check in is super easy with a code that the front gate gives you and there's tons of information inside the condo in case you need to immediately get in touch with the property manager/concierge. There was someone to help get our heavy bags up to the room and the elevator worked just fine. The condo contains everything you need! As we were packing up I even found better goggles than the ones I had previously been using! We cooked quite a few meals here and never wished we had another cooking utensil. We had all the towels needed for showers and for the beach and didn't feel like we needed to do laundry every day. We really loved the property itself as well. There are three different areas to eat/drink and we thoroughly enjoyed each of them. The menus changed for dinner each night (which we loved!) and the food was FANTASTIC! Every meal was so delicious and the service was the icing on the cake. Wefe, down at the Saltwater bar, was one of the best bartenders we've had the pleasure of dining with--as are the people at the main pool bar! We spent TONS of time at each and literally didn't want to leave. The pool was always a refreshing temperature and when the tide was calm, the lifeguards let us swim! I was able to swim out to schools of Mobula rays that belly flopped down the beach and we saw quite a few whales as well! From the pool!! It was so special. We already miss the beautiful view from the balcony and we cannot wait to come back!!

Magical place and very comfortable. Looks out to the Sea of Cortez, has close by eaterys, and a short drive in both directions to shopping, town, and our favorite snorkling beach!

Wayne is a retired real estate broker/manager and Zoey is newly semi-retired after working in the social services and health fields. We are Canadians who live in the Vancouver area. We have 3 adult daughters and love sailing, tennis, yoga and spending time with friends. Wayne is an avid tennis player and when we are at Casita Topaz plays most mornings on the great courts here. Zoey enjoys hiking and walks on the fabulous beach that stretches for miles in front of the resort.

We first visited the Los Cabos area in 1990 after finding that Hawaii was becoming too pricey for us. At that time, we had two little girls and picked the Cabo area as it was the sunniest, closest, shortest flight from the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada!

Over the past 30 years, we visited most of the areas in the southern third of the Baja and added a third daughter to our family. We were really challenged when we finally decided to buy our own condo as there are many gorgeous locations and Resorts on Baja.

As a realtor, Wayne knew that being clear on our desired elements of a condo was very important! Our criteria to purchase included: beachfront, tennis, swimming, golf, quietness, physical beauty and a feeling of a peaceful oasis in the desert yet close enough to a larger center for groceries, shopping, restaurants and an airport!

After many years of searching and experimenting, we found our ‘desert jewel’ and are so excited to let you know that ‘Casita Topaz’ aka Pelicanos 202 in the luxurious Cabo Real area of the Los Cabos Corridor is available as a Los Cabos vacation rental!

We fell in love with this development on our very first trip to Los Cabos in 1990. At that time Casa del Mar was ‘lines in the dirt’, however, we were captured by the physical beauty of the area and could envision the stunning end result!

We purchased Casita Topaz in March 2013 and had no intention to buy when we arrived in Los Cabos for a vacation but were curious about the current real estate market as Wayne worked in this industry in Vancouver. We set up some showings with local realtor Wendy Knapp and looked at a couple of places before we walked into Casita Topaz. We stepped in the door and fell in love! The unit caught our attention because of the fabulous panoramic view and eclectic furnishings! We could see the potential for a fabulous luxury vacation condo. The final perfect touch was seeing a whale swimming just off the beach!

Over the years of spending time at Casita Topaz, we have grown to appreciate the seclusion, the tranquility, the fabulous landscaping of the grounds, the gorgeous stretch of quiet beach, the stunning views and the sunsets, even more.

Driving through the Security Gates onto the cobbled road into the development, feels like arriving into a desert sanctuary filled with wonderful landscaping, a Boutique Hotel, pools, fountains, and of course the beach and ocean and Casita Topaz.
