Beach House 29 Captiva Island beach view resort home

Life doesn't get much better than staying for a week or longer at Beach House 29. Our vacation home away from home is located within the gates of the Island Resort on Captiva Island. While Beach House 29 is located within the gates of the Island Resort, the Beach Homes are a separate association within the resort. That means you won't have to pay a resort fee. While you won't get resort amenity access, you will have access to our great association amenities, including the shared heated pool, just steps from the home, a tennis court, propane BBQ grills, and the world-famous Captiva Island beach, again, just steps from our Beach Home. We look after the home very well and want to make your stay as perfect as possible. The entire home has been updated to be very modern and welcoming. The main level features an open kitchen complete with all of the major appliances and kitchenware for you to easily prepare meals for your friends and family. The nearby dining area has ample seating along with bar stools at the breakfast bar. On the main floor is the master bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with full bunk beds, each with its own bathroom. Up the stairs is a sleeping loft with a twin sofa and twin-sized mattress for an additional guest, and two additional bedrooms, both with king beds and full bathrooms. Our beach house may accommodate up to 11 guests. One of the best features of the home is not only the short distance to the beach, but the open decks with gulf views to gaze at the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful sunsets. Just off our main level living and dining rooms is a private screened lanai that stretches the length of the home with ample seating and even a swing to relax (and Eno hammock hooks) and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail. We're sure that you will love staying at Beach House 29 just as much as we did and do every year! As we've said since we started visiting Captiva, come for the beach... stay for the sunsets. Do you want to watch Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, or your other favorite apps? We've got you covered with smart TVs and wireless high-speed internet.

Construction & Maintenance
Currently, there are no ongoing repairs or construction within the Resort. Should any occur during your stay, refunds will not be issued for disruptions caused by maintenance or repairs beyond our control.

Due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, access to some amenities may be limited during your stay.

The home was great for my extended family. Worked out well for 6 adults and 4 children. Although we brought our own, we were happy to have the extra basketful of beach towels because we used them daily!! The kitchen was well supplied with gear for cooking. Best of all was the spacious screened in porch/lanai and the location within a very close walk to the pool and beach! The only thing we missed was a barbecue nearby.

House was amazing, plenty of room, nice amenities, quiet, and very peaceful location.Beach is beautiful and hardly any other people around made it feel like we were on a private island. We were a little disappointed the pool wasn’t open after being told it would be, but that was a very minor issue and we appreciated the communication when we asked questions.

We loved BH 29! It was just as described and made our family vacation very comfortable. Great location too. So close to the beach, swimming pool and tennis court. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The open floor plan and each bedroom having a bathroom was a plus. We would definitely stay there again.

Our Captiva stay

We had an amazing time this past week! The house was beautiful and was the perfect for our family. My son had an amazing time collecting shells and hanging out by the pool and beach. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home! We will be back next year!

Under Construction

This is a beautiful resort that was devastated by the hurricane last year. Most of the resort is still under construction including this particular properties. The roof is still being built and an electrical fire took place during our stay which made us flee the property early, cutting our vacation time there in half...

Everything was great , beach, pool, accommodations.Water heater leaked the evening before we were to leave so had to shut off hot water. None of us able to get a hot shower after beach. Plumbers came the next morning. Could not have been foreseen.

Beach House 29

Beach House 29 was a beautiful home away from home. The walk to the beach was only minutes and the view from the front porch was beautiful! Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. However, one of the main reasons I chose this home was the access to the pool. I am well aware and understanding of the fact that there is significant rebuilding talking place on the island, but communication of the status of the rental property should be priority. When we arrived, the gates around the pool were tied shut. I called Saturday evening and on Monday workers were there to fix the issue. The pool area had chunks of concrete around it and the pool itself was not completely clean, but they fixed the gate. We did use the pool for a few days, but then some workers put up a "pool closed" sign on the gate - while we were in the pool - without speaking to us or explaining to us why it was being closed. This is unacceptable to me. At one point during our stay, a worker was using a power saw to cut wood on our deck, while my grandson was napping! Again, I understand that after the devastation caused by the storm that properties will need work, but the photos provided were not up to date and that is the only thing we had to go on when choosing this rental. We paid for something that we did not get. Some sort of compensation would be appreciated.

Die Kommunikation zwischen Agentur und lokalem Resort Management funktioniert nicht. Pool u. Grill war während der gesamten Dauer nicht nutzbar, trotz täglicher Nachfrage. Maler strich unangemeldet während dem Frühstück die Terrasse. Kammerjäger waren unangemeldet im Haus.

I think they might have been left by a prior renter so we took advantage of them! The few people I spoke with were very helpful and responsive. I had called in advance and was told there was a hair dryer in every bathroom, but there were only two,!and one of them did not work The beach umbrellas were not in great repair and my granddaughter got a nasty scratch just below her eye when my son was carrying an umbrella back from the beach ( too windy ) He looked at the other umbrellas under the deck and said they all had spokes sticking out. I relayed this information to you late in the week, and the woman I spoke with offered to run over a beach umbrella and done hair dryers but I declined since we were not there much longer. I appreciated her willingness to do this

Absolutely! This vacation home is beautiful. It was exactly what we had dreamed of. The setting is quiet and restful. The pool was right outside our back door and the beach was only a very short direct walk. The house was amazing... 4 large bedrooms each with its own bath, a large well-appointed kitchen, the open living room, and the dining room was perfect for family dinners and evening games. We had breakfast and lunch on the large screen porch almost every day. The home is perfectly equipped with pool and beach chairs and toys. We did not need a thing. We also enjoyed the Bubble Room and the Mucky Duck restaurants. The time away in this home was a great gift. We highly recommend this beautiful beach home!

We had the best time! The space was clean and comfortable.

We had the best time! The space was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The house was well decorated and provided all amenities. The house was in a great location (within walking distance to everything). The sunset did not disappoint and the beach was just steps from our back deck. We would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend! 5/5 stars! We would give 6 if we could!

Home was very comfortable for 3 couples and a baby. The access to the beach and the quiet area was wonderful! Very few people near us at beach this week. Pool was also lovely and quiet. Home was quiet inside - well insulated. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, etc. We had no reason to interact with anyone at Dream Vacations. Interactions with the staff at South Seas was not friendly at all. Merely tried to get a drink at the restaurant and bar and were rudely told we were not allowed. We would never rent directly from them consequently.

We loved our stay in Beach House 29. The house was lovely and was perfectly situated near the pool and beach. The kitchen was well supplied and the storage unit had plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, digging tools, etc. That was much appreciated when traveling from a distance and unable to bring everything one might need for the beach. We would stay at Beach House 29 again! Ryan was very fast to respond to emails and any issue we had with the property. The maintenance team fixed the doors quickly and responded to a water leak immediately. All were very polite and efficient.
