Wonderful condo, super comfortable, fantastic kitchen with every kitchen item imaginable. I did some light cleaning as I noticed things, nothing major. Great fridge, nice balcony, plenty of air conditioning and hot water. A super place, recommend for everyone.

This was such a great experience for my family.

This condo was beautiful. It was so clean and the atmosphere was incredible. We had such a great time on the beach and in the pool. We definitely want to return next summer. 😀

Family Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The condo was exactly what we were looking for: spacious, clean and accommodating. The front desk check in was easy and quick. They were wonderful and treated us like family. The local restaurants are delicious. Would recommend Longboat Cafe for breakfast, and Whitney’s and Mar Vista for lunch/dinner. We will definitely be returning next year.

Great stay!

The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking and they had a small cooler, pool noodles and sand toys! The unit was clean and quiet. It is dated, so if you prefer more up to date or modern places, this is not the unit for you. I would definitely stay here again tho. One of the twin beds was very squeaky if you had anyone over 50lbs in it, but all of the beds were very comfortable!

We Love Staying at Sand Cay!

This particular unit was a little smaller than the one we like to stay at but was still amazing for us! This one has the benefit of being right beside the pool, tennis courts, and the parking is right below the unit. The place is very clean and has a reasonable noise level. As was my previous and only complaint with Sand Cay, there tends to be a lot of foot stomping noise in these units from families that take several children. Otherwise, we have no other complaints about our stay this year. It was fantastic!

Great location

We love vacationing in Longboat Key. Sand Cay is very conveniently located on the island and it’s just steps away from a gorgeous beach. However, the condition of the wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms of our particular unit is pretty poor. The upholstered furniture and dining seat cushions would benefit from a deep cleaning or re-upholstery. (We noticed that the seat cushion on the large sofa is ripped at the side seam.) All minor issues but these are things we noticed. All in all, I think Sand Cay is a great location for family vacations. That said, our unit would benefit from a mini make-over.

Beautiful resort!

Everything is very nice--beach and pool are amazing! There was an unexpected plumbing leak in the unit where my family members were staying, so Sand Cay moved them to another unit for a couple of days while they fixed it. Because of the inconvenience, we received a partial refund. That was very nice of them to do and helped make up for having to move units. Both units were extremely nice and my family members were very happy with their stay! Our daughter's boyfriend proposed while they stayed there, so maybe someday they will be able to return to the resort where they got engaged! It was a very happy time.

The only thing I didn't appreciate was the beach work that began our last day. The water was brown from.what I think was the dredging of sand off shore. Thankfully that was our last day and not our first. Of course this is no reflection on the resort or it's staff but rather a governmental decision and I understand the work is necessary to preserve the beaches.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is outdated and has a musty smell to it. I attempted to burn candles and boil fabric softener to help eliminate the strong odor. My sister would gag upon entry into my unit. The dry wall has cracks. The windows leaked during a heavy rain storm. . Sand Cay, in general, is a wonderful place. It has a nice pool, beach access, and is close to the grocery store (5 mins) and airport (25 mins). I would return to Sand Cay. I would not stay in 312 ever again.
