This was the perfect spot to stay and explore the southern area of Barbados. We were able to find our way around easily with our rental car. Close to beaches , restaurants, and a well stocked grocery store. A very nice neighborhood where we enjoyed morning coffee outside on the covered deck and evenings as well watching monkeys, parakeets and bats enjoying the fruit from the mango tree. Loved it all even the roosters!
The only reason we did not give a 5 out of 5 overall was the road down the hill, you will need a torch and be aware of several holes and uneven surfaces, That said the villa it's self is great, much larger than in the photos, and Cyrus was great, not that we ever needed him
Great base for exploring Barbados, close to everywhere. Neighbourhood was chilled. Flat was spacious, bright. Nice bit of outside space. Mosquito blinds on the bedroom windows were effective, we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. Shout out to Cyrus the property manager. Overall a great stay in sunny Barbados.

Second visit
Disappointed with the shabbiness of the Villa after last year. Needs some TLC, general repairs, new bedding and mattresses. The rental of the upstairs apartment to someone with a viscous dog caused distress leading me to find alternative accommodation for my final week at extra cost.

A house cannot get „shabby“ within a year. All „general repairs“ have been completed, I was there during your stay and asked you almost daily if everything is ok. Your answer was yes. Also you paid for 2 persons, but had additional guests for a week or more, just closed my eyes and accepted. If they slept in the living room, probably it is not so comfortable. The matresses in the bedrooms have been bought 2022. the „viscious“ dog is a sweetheart, I know her, and slept there only two nights.
Why you stayed for a month without saying anything about all you mention here?
The Villa was as depicted, spacious and typically Bajan. The verandah was an asset, a comfortable space for eating and relaxing. The ceiling fans inside circulated the air. Probably could have done with a fan on the verandah. Loved the position on Maxwell Hill, 10 minutes walk to public transport and 20 minutes walk to Dover Beach, St Lawrence Gap. In the other direction 40 minutes walk to Oistins. Local taxi drivers were brilliant. Supermarket 15 minutes walk away. This holiday was brilliant, I was there for a month in February, would recommend.
Great location with easy access to the beach. There is no AC so is was very hot and uncomfortable from morning to night. Windows allow for sandflies and mosquitoes to enter the property which can be harmful to ones health. The shower was dirty and clogged and the toilet was making a loud noise which took a few days before being fixed. The unit was dirty with dust that looked like it had been there for months. The property manager did not show up on our last day to collect the keys as we spoked about in an earlier convention that day.
Comfortable apt, great location, beautiful country
Making arrangements was easy. The host even arranged for airport pickup. The manager was available to give us the rundown on the apt, and other details that made our stay more comfortable, importantly how to get to the beach, a 15 minute walk if you know how. Public transportation is nearby, and made visits to Oistins (which is only a half hour walk away), Bridgetown and Speightstown easy. We didn't rent a car and didn't miss having one at all. A grocery store is nearby, fruit and veg stands are easy to find. Having 2 BR was great and the large shower made cleanup after the beach easier. The kitchen is serviceable and has enuf utensils and dishes, pots, and pans. Unfortunately not everything had been cleaned adequately by previous guests. We wish we had known how to work the TV. We would have enjoyed watching Bajan programming to get an even better sense of the land and the culture. Rest assured that this is a really good deal.
Nice place to stay. Close to everything you need- we did have a car. Around a 20 min walk to the Gap. Pillows had stains on although covered and washed so I’d recommend they improved on this, Cyrus was great. Would return but would recommend this to take them to the next level…
