First, "Charming 2-bedroom house with AC in lovely Reston" is the downstairs area of a split-level house! I didn't receive instructions on how to get into the house/apt until I called the VRBO help line at 12:15 AM on the night I arrived. There was no lighting to see the "path" down a 30-foot grass hill to the apartment. Multiple trip hazards along the back of the house to the door. There was no light at the door to see the lock. I used my phone's flashlight to get to the door. Once I entered the apartment, it smelled musty, and my nose got stuffy. The queen bedroom had a futon-type mattress that sat below the frame; sleeping and getting in and out of bed was uncomfortable. Cell service was very poor in the unit; you had to go outside to get a signal. I didn't have any instructions or access to wifi. The Weight workout rig was in the front room near the "bar"; no kitchen. There was a K-Cup coffee maker, hot plate, KEG fridge, regular college mini fridge, hot water kettle, and some dishes behind the bar. I would say the condition of the house was "tired." If I had arrived early in the afternoon, I would have looked for a different place to stay. This place will work for some people; as a business traveler, it definitely doesn't meet the minimum requirements for comfort, access, or relaxation needed on a business trip.
