This house is less than a 5 minute drive to Historic Front Street in New Richmond, Ohio. There, you can enjoy the paved Riverwalk, stop for a locally brewed cup of coffee, shop at one of the local storefronts, or grab a bite to eat to support one of the local small businesses. We have plenty of recommendations to enjoy this small town.

If you wish to venture into the city, we are a scenic 25-minute drive away from Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky, where you can find delicious local eateries, craft breweries, shopping, and outdoor experiences. CVG Airport is a 30 minute drive away. For those looking to visit the Creation Museum we are about a 40 min drive and the Ark Encounter about 60 min drive.

This tiny house is perfect for a couple looking for a remote and romantic getaway, a small family who are raving Harry Potter fans or someone looking for a relaxing work space.

This tiny house may not be ideal for children under the age of 5, as it is located close to a river. Children must be attended by an adult while outdoors at all times.

Our Property

Nestled among 10 acres of trees and wildlife, this true tiny home on wheels offers plenty of privacy and peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of life. It is located on the same property as our personal home and a pole barn that operates as the offices for our small businesses. If you are staying during the week, expect to see a few of our team members as well as other guests filtering in and out. If you've always wondered what it would be like to experience true Tiny Home Living, you have come to the right place! Hagrid's Hut is (2) of (3) newly custom-built tiny homes within the Visions on the River (VOTR) Tiny Home community. First Floor

- The first floor of this tiny house features a master bedroom with queen size bed, full bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. At the front of the house, there is a dual reclining leather sofa with a very relaxing massaging and heating feature. The kitchen has a bar top area for eating for 2 people. TV trays are also provided for eating convenience. Ultra High speed internet and Wi-Fi is available and a smart TV.
**** Please note the coach is not intended to accommodate guests sleeping. If additional guests over (2) are needed please consider booking Hagrid's Hut in one of the other "configurations" which are the +1BR option or + 2BR option. These are completely different "listings" with different nightly rates and cleaning fees. Those specific house names are "Hagrid's Hut + 1BR - Harry Potter Experience" and/or "Hagrid's Hut + 2BR - Harry Potter Experience".
- When those home options are booked (as well as this one) you will have full access to the entire home (with either 1 or 2 loft bedrooms) and property amenities. You will NOT be sharing the home with any other guests that are not in your party or reservation.

Outside

The large 20x20 outdoor covered patio/hut overlooks the river and features a relaxing six-person hot tub with 35 custom massaging jets, seating area for 5-6 people, and a Blackstone propane grill (we provide propane and cooking utensils). There is a fire pit/chairs just a few steps away - ideal for campfires in the summer and fall (we provide firewood and fire starters for 1 small campfire - with more firewood bundles available for sale). Also relax and enjoy an afternoon siesta on the couch on the covered patio overlooking the river if you'd like.
For our guests free use, we have (4) kayaks located on our private dock (or beach area) that are shared with other guests also staying on our property. One in which is a tandem kayak. We do provide all paddles and a few life jackets that are adult small and mediums. We recommend providing your own life jackets if needing different sizes. Please also see section below for more Kayak usage Info.

If you would like to bring your own boat or jetskis you are welcome to tie up to our personal dock during your stay. Just give us a notice so we can be prepared. There is a public boat ramp and launch just 2 miles down the road in downtown New Richmond. (Please know we are unfortunately unable to rent our personal jet skis or pontoon boat for liability reasons according to our insurance company since the Ohio River is considered a "commercial waterway" with barge traffic.

If you love to fish, fishing is definitely allowed and possible on our 1000’ of personal riverfront property. There is easy access to the riverbank/beach and during the boating season you can fish right off our personal dock which also has 4 Adirondack chairs for your pleasure. Please remember to bring all your fishing gear as well as your fishing license as it is still required by state law (and you never know when a game warden is patrolling the river).

** Please ALSO keep in mind that our private dock (shown in pictures) is usually only available between the time @ 1st or 2nd week of June and stays in water until @ mid September. This could always change based on the water levels of the Ohio River which is always unpredictable and seasonal in nature.
You may occasionally see us utilizing the dock to launch our boats and jet skis or enjoying the water on nice days.

UTILIZING THE KAYAKS:
If you, or someone joining you, wishes to utilize the kayaks on our property, you are welcome to but are REQUIRED to fill out a safety waiver beforehand. You can access the safety waiver via our digital guidebook and are encouraged to fill it out prior to your check-in. You will receive that waiver link the day before your arrival. The kayaks are located on our private dock in front of our home (between June-Sept) along with a couple life jackets and padels in the yellow bin. During the "off-season" they are located on the upper river bank between Stargazer and Black Tie. Please return the equipment to its original location when finished using. Also, PLEASE be careful when unsecuring the kayaks so to NOT lose the bungee straps in the river. Thank you and be safe!
