About this property

Hand-Hewn Cabin by Ponderosa State Park•RV Hookups•Pup Welcome

Welcome to Alder & Antler, a 2020‑built hand-hewn log cabin with nostalgic charm, modern ease, and plenty of mountain air. Two bedrooms, two baths, and a more than capable kitchen. Linger outdoors after a day on the lake with a covered great room and two porches. One good dog is welcome. Bring the Airstream or boat—RV power and water included, no CCR's. Minutes from Ponderosa State Park, Davis Beach, bike paths, golf, and town, with Brundage Resort 10 miles away. Nature first. Comforts close.

Alder & Antler sits in a quiet pocket of McCall that keeps you close to everything without feeling “in town.” You’re less than a mile from Ponderosa State Park, with its pine‑lined trails, bike paths, lake viewpoints, and winter Nordic skiing. Davis Beach on Payette Lake is a quick drive or easy bike ride away for sandy toes and afternoon swims. The McCall Golf Course and the paved bike path system are nearby, making it simple to swap hiking boots for bikes or clubs. Downtown McCall—with its coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, and marina—is only a few minutes by car, so you can grab supplies or dinner out and be back on the porch before sunset. In winter, roads are plowed and you’re well‑placed for snowshoeing in Ponderosa, Nordic trails, and a short drive to Brundage Resort and other local snow adventures.

Entire home, porches, outdoor great room, driveway/carport, and RV hookups. There's one locked wardrobe in the laundry room and six locked drawers in the primary bedroom (two are still available, plus the closet).

Alder & Antler feels like the kind of cabin you remember from childhood trips—hand‑hewn logs, a roaring pellet stove, the smell of pine on the porch, and quiet starry nights. It’s authentic, cozy, and tucked close to the lakes, mountains, and woods that make McCall feel like a pocket of timeless Idaho.

--THE SPACE--
• True log‑cabin warmth: hand‑sawn floors, vaulted ceilings, butcher block counters
•2 BEDROOMS
-Primary Bedroom (upstairs): King bed + full ensuite bath (the primary suite is an open loft with no door that looks down over the living room, just like an old‑school cabin. It’s cozy and full of charm, but sound and light do travel, so keep that in mind if you’re planning for early risers, late‑night chats, or extra‑quiet mornings)
--Bunkroom (main floor): Queen‑over‑Queen bunk (these are cozy quarters and designed as a space to simply rack out--while this room has beds to sleep four, it's a tight fit for more than 2 adults plus provisions/luggage--be sure to take a look at the photos and make sure it works for your crew)
•BATHROOMS: 2 full baths (clawfoot tub + two walk-in showers)
•LIVING: Open great room under vaulted timbers; cozy seating and dining for 6
•KITCHEN: Butcher‑block counters, Bosch + GE Café appliances, sturdy cookware, sharp knives, Keurig coffee maker (10-15 K-Cups provided), amply supplied for cooking and dining
•TECH: High‑speed Wi‑Fi; 50" smart TV with Bose soundbar (Samsung TV Plus; log in with your own streaming accounts); JBL portable speaker
•FAMILY: Pack ’n play, kid's toys, board games
•CLIMATE + COMFORT
--Heating: whole-home baseboard heating, mini‑split with AC upstairs, pellet stove in the great room (pellets provided)
--Cooling: mini‑split with A/C upstairs (no central AC); ceiling fans and cool mountain nights throughout

--OUTDOOR LIVING--
•Covered front and back porches for coffee and sunsets
•Covered outdoor great room with power and lighting, dining space, and BBQ zone
•Grills: gas grill (propane provided) + charcoal grill (bring charcoal)

--PARKING + RV--
•Plenty of parking for boat/trailer. Guests can use the covered carport and driveway; space for up to 2 cars or a boat under carport (2 cars max)
•Airstream + boat‑friendly: dedicated spot with 30A/50A power and water (max occupancy for the property is 6).

You'll receive complete driving directions and transportation tips after booking in your Digital Guidebook.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.

*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to McCall, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to McCall from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.

*If you're traveling in winter or you plan to enjoy the many off-roading adventures available in Valley County, we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.
