Ground floor and beachfront...
You'll get no closer to the water than here at "Toes in the Sand"
Our 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo is less than 50 feet from the turquoise blue Caribbean.
There is a gate from the condo gallery (patio) directly onto the beach.
Strap on your snorkel gear and head into the water.
The snorkeling is great at our artificial reef just a short swim away from the beach.
We even provide some snorkel gear !

Pour a cool drink and relax under the swaying palms to the sound of gentle waves slapping the shore while being caressed by the warm island breeze.

The gallery is comfortably furnished for evening relaxation and al fresco dining.
This large outdoor living area has an unobstructed ocean view.

Inside, you will find 2 comfortable bedrooms with A/C.
The Master bedroom features a King size bed, en suite bath and A/C.
The Guest bedroom has two twin beds and A/C.
The twins can combine to a King upon request.
The condo is stocked with board games, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and snorkel gear.
Got little ones?
Toe's in the Sand offers a Pak n Play and stroller for your convenience.
Two bathrooms, each with a new glass block shower are stocked with plenty of towels, soap and shampoo.

Colony Cove is a gated, security patrolled complex located close to Christiansted for dining, shopping and sight seeing.
It has a fresh water pool with plenty of deck space, gas grills, tennis courts and direct beach access.
There are 2 restaurant/bars within walking distance and 2 grocery stores that are a short drive.
A rental car is not a necessity but is recommended.

SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. As a result, unfortunately our current policy must be that we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargasso.

Nice property and right on the beach. We dove on and off through the week and had to go to salt river to catch the dive boat. Condo is only about 15 min away. Had a great time lounging in the pool which is very close to the condo. Would stay again

We stayed at Toes in the Sand January 11-14, 2026 and had a wonderful time. This condo is in a gated community and has no steps to and from the unit. The sandy bottom Sugar Beach entrance to the ocean is a very short walk from the gallery. The unit has a Very comfortable king sized bed and a gorgeous kitchen. I’m a chef so I appreciate a great kitchen. On a scale of 1-10, this kitchen is a 12. It boasts a massive quartz island as well as all quartz countertops throughout. The cabinet and drawers feature the slow-close hardware and Earl provides everything you need to cook including all the pots, pans, and utensils. The unit is clean and centrally located (close to Christiansted, about 20 minutes to Frederiksted, and about 35 minutes to Point Udall). It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit so there is plenty of room. Plenty of towels (both bath and beach) are provided and the washer and dryer look to be brand new. Some snorkel gear and water shoes were at the unit but we had our own. The Smart TV is new and books and board games are provided. Coral Sea restaurant is right next door with a gate right next to the condo and offers great food. Chef Sylvia is fantastic and our server Yvette was Very entertaining ! Toes is a great place to stay in a relaxing environment and to have a Great St. Croix day!

Perfect vacation spot

Property as described. It is a beautiful condo with spectacular views. It is centrally located so exploring the island is easy. There are two restaurants within walking distance. Owner was super to work with and provided for all our needs including beach towels for our use. Pack your swimsuit and book at this one for a relaxing vacation.

Perfect location that is steps to the water

We had an amazing time in St. Croix! Thanks to the owners of this beautiful condo for providing everything we needed for our daily adventures(snorkeling equipment, beach chairs/towels, cooler and even a bottle of rum) We felt very safe in the colony cove gated community and was a super quick drive to the boardwalk. The view from this condo is gorgeous!

Great location and beachfront

The unit had all the accessories one would want. View from the patio is great. The beach is not the best for swimming, rocky and not real calm. There are plenty of other beaches on the island that are worth visiting. Great location for touring the island to go east or west. Short drive to boardwalk and many restaurants to select from.

Fantastic Stay

We had an unforgettable time at Toes in the sand. The location was unbelievable right on the water with an artificial reef just steps away,with amazing snorkeling (all equipment provided even pool noodles). The accommodations inside were just as amazing with comfortable beds and a modern kitchen with granite countertops and tons of cabinet space. We were met with every thing we needed needed even down to a cooler and a wide section of sunscreens. I would highly recommend this Gem and will gladly book again if we ever visit St. Croix again!

Toe's in the Sand. Great title, that says it all. Place is right on the beach. Large family room Kitchen combo, overlooking the ocean. Waking up every morning and seeing the ocean, Amazing. Bedrooms on the back side of condo are very spacious. The kids loved snorkeling the man made tire reef. We will rent again.

The condo was exactly as represented .. On the water ... Toes in the sand!! Eric, was more than helpful!! We had a power failure on our second night and he was available and even found us a place to stay that evening until the power was restored the following morning!! A huge shout out to him!!

Relaxing Retreat

Enjoyed a beautiful week at this condo. It is less than a 10 min drive to Christiansted and next door to Sugar Beach. The owner was super helpful/responsive when we had questions and even personally dropped off a replacement coffee pot. Normally I stay in a Marriott, but I wanted extra space to be able to telework- this was a perfect solution. There is an outdoor patio with the perfect oceanfront view which became my remote office (wireless internet handled my video meetings without issue.) Wish I had stayed an extra week.

A little TLC

The overall stay was good. The location was great, by the pool, and could see the ocean at all times. Being a condo owner in Naples, Florida, I take pride in my condo when people are renting it. Making sure everything is clean and well stocked. That beinging said, this condo needs some TLC. Also, when it was raining, water was coming through the air conditioner in the front bedroom. We washed the doorwall windows and the floors were not clean.

We actually didn't stay at this property because it wasn't approved for rental by the local government yet and issued a "certificate of occupancy". But my review for Earl is what I'm doing here as he set us up with a similar property next door on the beach and the entire honey moon vacation was great! The island was super fun. Rent a car and drive in the left to explore it all. Super fun. We did a jeep and recommend a jeep for the potholes, ease of parking, and off road capability. You'll still be in an American car driving set up (driver on left) but will stay left.

We acquired our first Colony Cove unit in 2011 as a stepping stone onto the island.
( Toe's in the Sand VRBO 508070)
We purchased it 'site unseen', packed up our belongings, pets and business and were not disappointed in the least. Our plan was to live in the condo while building our business, then to buy a house and vacation rent the condo.
We have been fortunate enough to realize that dream.
We are still on island with no intention of ever leaving this tropical paradise.
We now have a house near Frederiksted and have since purchased an additional Colony Cove unit to share with YOU ! ( Island Time VRBO 1491472 )

Why they chose this property

Colony Cove is a beach side gated complex with pool, grills and tennis courts. All units have a least a partial ocean view. 'D' building is directly on the beach. Our unit is not only in the coveted 'D' building, but is ground floor with beach access from the unit. It is also at the private end and closest to Coral Sea Cafe restaurant.
The gate to Coral Sea is just out the front door to the right, or walk out back and take the beach route:)
