4000+ Sq.' home perfect for family reunions
The Beach House is a turn-of-the-century, twenty-room home that was used as a boarding house for young college women working in the large luxury hotels of the lumbering era in Northwestern Michigan. The charm remains with quaint living rooms, individual kitchens and bathrooms in each of the six living quarters. There are 4 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom units which are rented together, making it ideal for a family gathering!
Each place includes a flat screen TV with built in DVD, fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, and electric range. There is a common picnic area and gas grills on the side lawn and a shared deck on the second floor overlooking the lake. If you have a special request, ask to see if we can accommodate it.
The house is located within feet of the east end of Crystal Lake, between the children's playground and boat launch on Beulah's town beach. The bike trail that connects Thompsonville and Frankfort is just around the corner.
There are also several restaurants and shops in this quaint community. If you are ready for more exploring, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Point Betsie, Frankfort, and Elberta Beach are all within a short drive.
Hope you enjoy your time, regardless of where you stay!
Weekly rentals are from 4:00 p.m. Saturday through 10:00 a.m. Saturday the following week.
After Memorial Day, any remaining weeks not yet rented will be available for reservation for shorter stays (2 night minimum).

About Nancy and Scott Bradley
I grew up in Frankfort, but have lived 40 miles outside of New York City for the past 25 years. I have never missed a summer in Northern Michigan, and my wife and I now bring our kids to enjoy the laid back life this area offers.
Nancy and Scott Bradley purchased this House in 2013
Why Nancy and Scott Bradley chose Beulah
We bought this place sight unseen! I knew the location (on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world), the town (quaint little shops and next to the Rails to Trails entrance), and the area, but hadn't seen the inside of the house. When I finally saw the place first hand, I couldn't believe what an awesome place it was. With 6 separate units, it's perfect for large groups that want to be together for vacation, but not living on top of each other. It suits our family perfectly, and I think it will suit yours as well.
What makes this House unique
The water quality of Crystal Lake is incredible, drawing us to Michigan each summer. This house is on the beach, but also in the middle of town! Easy access to explore Northwestern Michigan.

Great summer vacation!
We stayed here for a week with extended family. The house was very spacious with lots of room. Outside comes with grills and picnic tables which provided enough seating for everyone. The public beach was right across the road and was quite clean. This house is close to Frankfort and Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Great family retreat
We came from Denver and met Michigan family. There were 16 adults and 2, 4 year olds and plenty of room. The deck was incredible for sunset and fireworks viewing but there's no shade, no awning or umbrella. There are plenty of nice metal chairs. The beds are comfy. We drove and our kids flew into Traverse City. If we'd flown we would've had to pay for a checked suitcase for the 12 bath towels we brought. The owners don't provide any towels. There's a very nice laundromat but it's not in walking distance. There's no laundry in the house. We had a bad storm and no power for 12 hours. There's not a candle in the house. We had a great time, just letting people know what to expect. The access to the beach and dock are incredible. The playground was a hit with the kids. We went to Frankfort, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor. We also picked raspberries at a nearby farm, Putney's. The park close to the house had a concert. We rented a pontoon boat, jet skis and a tandem bike. The parking for 4 cars in the back is nice. We'll rent it again.
This is a great place for large family reunions with children. Beach, biking, kayaking.
This large apartment style home accommodated our family of 14 adults and 10 children very well. This was excellent for younger children as the sidewalk in front was used for scooters, small bikes. The street in front is a one way street and cars drive by slowly. Still have to watch closely while kids cross the street to the beach and playground. Some of our kids attended the Children's Cognition center one block away where they participated in learning projects and met Quillow the hedgehog and a very friendly snake. We biked the path to Frankfort for lunch, kayaked the Platte River, and we even brought our boat for family tubing. You can tie up your boat at the marina by the playground. The home was clean and had everything you need except towels and Linda, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly whenever we had any questions. The beds were not very comfortable and there are a few cosmetic improvements needed but properties like this are always in a state of repair. We would definitely do it again. LaChiam deli has great food and the ice cream shop across the street has great coffee. Beulah is very laid back but the quality of shops and services is great.
South Shore Rental
Our family stayed at another rental offered by the owners of the Beach House. (The "South Shore Home", (find it at crystallakerentals.net) This is a wonderful large home on the South Shore of Crystal Lake. Although our family has stayed at the Beach House for over 20 years, we needed something a little larger and "all in one unit". The South Shore House fits the bill exactly. Lot's of living space for playing board games, excellent location for launching a boat and great for walking or biking right out the door on South Shore Drive East.
We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again in the future.
The Beach Crew
Our Group of 17, 9 adults and 8 kids really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It was very conveniently located to the beach. The fishing dock & boat ramp was a very short walking distance away. The age range of kids was 9 months to 12 yrs old. It was nice that everyone had their own space yet we could all be in one area and enjoy the company. Frankfort, Traverse city and Sleeping Bear Dunes were all within an easy drive. It was clean & had all the essentials in the individual kitchens. Great view of Crystal Lake!
Perfect place to stay with family
We had a perfect stay with the kids, across from the beach with colorful sunsets, large deck with breeze and views. Location perfect for the outdoor concert, art show, shops and food. Short drive to Frankfort for excellent dinners and bakery and Lake Michigan beaches and an easy trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes and more. Next time we will take in a movie at the Cherry Bowl Drive In!
The Beach House is located downtown in the Village of Beulah, making it a perfect place for the family. The youngest will play all day on the beach, giving the teenagers a little freedom to walk for lunch, and allowing the parents and grandparents to enjoy the beautiful views from the second floor deck. Gas grills and picnic tables make for a great place to congregate around meal time. The Beach House is about 30 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dune climb, 10 minutes to Lake Michigan Beaches, 40 minutes to Traverse City. Several golf courses within 10 minutes for those days when you can pull yourself away from the lake. Lots of places to see and explore the beauty of Northwestern Michigan!
