This new cozy cottage perched up in the trees with beautiful views of Crystal Lake. Let’s talk about great location!!! Guests will have shared lakefront access, my beachfront is at the end of the street (1 min walk) Betsy trails right outside your door, Crystal Mountain ski and golf resort a 10 minute drive, Beulah Public beach and restaurants .7 mi away, Frankfort - a bike ride away, close to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor/Fishtown/winery's/brewery's, walking distance to downtown Beulah, pickle ball courts within walking distance, too many to mention. Everything supplied, bedding/sheets/dishes/pots-pans/grill/firepit, kayaks/bikes/fat tire, Pontoon rental available. This is a seperate build on another lot but shared driveway/garage access.

Crystal Lake offers the Betsy Trail which circumvents this beautiful lake and offers 22 mile ride or hike is an excellent way to scope out the lake and it’s surrounding. Area. The Betsy Trail is right outside your door step. NO SMOKING inside/outside. NOTE: the views from the deck can differ depending on season, pictures from deck are on the listing. My beachfront is right on the lake across the street, one minute walk. Beulah Public Beach .7 mi. NOTE: only rental guests have access to outdoor amenities. Next door is also available Blue Ridge Cottage #4291225, right next door. If you decide to book in the winter, please be prepared for snow and more snow.

Nice stay, beautifully decorated, great place to stay overnight. Would be perfect for a couple going to Crystal to ski or on their way to Traverse area, etc. Please note it is above the owner's garage, we missed that part, so it was a little awkward when we arrived, as we didn't know where to park and we didn't know we needed to walk in and go above the garage. We accidently walked up to the owner's house but got it all figured out. Was a nice little studio for 2 people to stay in, had a nice view of the forest and the sun coming up in the morning. Lake down the road was beautiful in the morning with the sun shining on the snow. A couple of great restaurants in town, just down the road. Would be good for a couple traveling in the winter or if you wanted a short stay in the summer.

This place is even better than the photos! Absolutely everything looked brand new. Nothing was worn out or dingy. Everything extremely clean. The host was so sweet and, due to bad weather, proactively offered to extend our checkout. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Lovely place! It was decorated so adorable, had all the amenities, and accurately described. The only issue we had was that you couldn’t lock the place when you left, which should be fixed.

Quiet, tranquil spot

Comfy, well-equipped and nicely decorated one bedroom. This is a beautifully- designed apartment above a garage. Spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable! We were there in hot weather and the AC worked perfectly. We used the kayaks on the lake which was super fun. Great location close to the Beulah downtown. If we had stayed for more days, we would definitely have used the bikes to roll around town.

Peaceful get-away

Well appointed, thoughtful layout, tucked in a woods, with a peek of the lake, and only a short walk to town and five min. to golf. Just what we were looking for.

Great spot!

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was close to the attraction that brought us to the area, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Never having hiked the trails in the winter, it did not disappoint. The VRBO was in a great location and just so happened to be having their Winterfest that weekend. Our first time watching fireworks in the winter, such a cool experience! Just a short walk made for a fun adventure! Maple Nest Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a great weekend!

Fall Break for Golf & R&R

Maple Nest was a perfect accommodation with an expanded studio apartment in a stand alone dwelling. Very well kept with furniture, appliances, and all utilities you could ask for. Best moments - sitting on the balcony at morning with a coffee, or in the evenings with a drink, taking in the fall colors and views of Crystal Lake. Centrally located and I made daily walks to Beulah to visit 5 Shores Brewing, Lucky Dog Saloon, and other places for meals and great beverages! Loved staying there and will book again!

Beautiful but needs some improvements

The bed was like sleeping on bricks, description is misleading as you can’t see the lake from the property and we felt it’s overly priced. Cottage is clean, up to date and classy. 10am was too early to check out.

Nice respite in quiet area of Crystal Lake

Very nice to be so close to the Betsy bike trail and ride all the way to the pier in Frankfort ( just < 20 mile round trip). Also nice to be close to Beulah restaurants. We also enjoyed picking peaches and plums in PierPort. The accommodations were perfect.

Maple Nest

We could not have been happier or more pleased! It was outfitted with every possible amenity, right down to an unexpected umbrella and crocheted shopping bag. It was beautifully furnished and thoughtfully arranged. We will definitely return.

Great Rental

We had a great stay at Maple Nest. It was a nice new unit, decorated very nicely. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and peacefulness of the woods. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock overlooking clear Crystal Lake. Loved using the kayaks which had nice back rests. Also enjoyed trying out the full-face snorkel mask. The only thing that would make this rental 110% would be a small apartment-sized washer/dryer! We would recommend biking the Betsie bike trail, dinner at The Glenwood in Onekama and Vita Bella in Frankfort; Kilwin's fudge, sunsets on Frankfort beach, Five Shores Brewery and The Roadhouse in Beulah, and for special occasions, Blu in Glen Arbor.
