About this property
Fantastic flat with large terrace
ED Refnr. 2872873
The house was completely renovated in 2014 and equipped with all the amenities that make for a relaxing and luxurious holiday. A very spacious terrace and well-kept lawns, covered barbecue, dining and cooking area with open fireplace, ample parking directly at the house, 2 comfortable bedrooms (master bedroom and children's bedroom), 1 bathroom, a large kitchen, living room with fireplace and sea view. The combination of traditional architecture with modern comfort is the great speciality of this house. The house was furnished in the old Istrian style. The garden is characterised by a well-tended lawn, old olive trees, figs, cypresses and numerous roses. Plenty of rosemary and laurel are at hand when the kitchen requires it. The location by the sea, with views of the Kvarner Bay, the island of Cres and Losinj, is magnificent, with uninterrupted views as far as the city of Rijeka, whose sea of lights shimmering in the evening is a feast for the eyes. The house has a rare, very pleasant charm that is infectious, never tires you out and always surprises you anew. It is a pleasure to be in and around the house. Simply ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The best way to unwind from the summer heat is to take a dip in the crystal-clear water. The beach is located below the house. The house has its own "plaza", a concrete sunbathing platform directly on the coast (not exclusive, as beaches in Croatia must always be open to the public). The large public beach of the village is less than a 4-minute walk from the house, also directly below the property. A supermarket and restaurants are just 350 metres from the house. Everything you need on holiday can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. You can leave the car behind.... The region also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. We are happy to give you recommendations for our highlights. There is something for every taste and almost every budget. The town of Labin, about 10 minutes away by car, is the hub of the area. A visit to the historic old town with its churches, narrow streets, shops, museums, galleries, bars and restaurants is always worth a trip. At the town market, you can experience the hustle and bustle of regional vendors, fresh local produce, excellent meat and sensational fish. The picturesque harbour town of Sveta Marina is located in Kvarner Bay. This part of Istria is known for its Mediterranean climate, subtropical vegetation and unique, unspoilt nature. Sveta Marina lies at the foot of the Ucka mountain massif. The seaside resort of Opatija, which was already appreciated by Austrian emperors in the early days, is about 40 km away to the east, and about 40 km to the west is the coastal town of Pula with its famous amphitheatre, where first-class theatre/music performances take place all year round. There is also an international airport here. This small, former fishing village is far away from the large tourist centres of the Istrian peninsula. Time seems to have stood still here. You can still enjoy the tranquillity and the original Istria in its purest form. Sveta Marina lives from its unpretentious simplicity, its still preserved, original character. The few old houses bear witness to Croatia's historical past. And yet you can still find amenities here, such as a supermarket, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, diving schools, a campsite, SUP and boat hire. Without exaggerating, we can say that the water is "crystal clear". Kvarner Bay is known for its cleanliness and biodiversity. It is not uncommon to see dolphins here - not only in the open sea, but also close to the shore, with the naked eye. The hustle and bustle and play of the dolphins is always an unforgettable experience. The beach in the village is still not overcrowded, you never have to worry that you won't be able to "lay a towel in between". Just a few minutes' walk and you'll always find a quiet spot to sunbathe on your own. A road runs along the entire coast towards Ravni, the next village to the south, directly along the sea, past picturesque empty bays. All the neighbouring bays around Sveta Marina can be easily reached on foot. Sveta Marina is not only predestined for pure relaxation. Sports addicts will also get their money's worth here: pack your diving equipment: The diving schools based in Sveta Marina are among the best known and most renowned in Europe. The reefs around Sveta Marina are among the 40 most spectacular in the world! It is an El Dorado for divers. Every year hundreds of tourists come to our town to learn how to dive or to go diving themselves with or without trained instructors. The Scuba Center Sv.Marina and the Murena Diving Centre are looking forward to your visit and will be happy to help you. Take your bike with you: ... and it doesn't matter whether it's a race bike or MTB! You will definitely get your money's worth here. Take it from a passionate biker! From the moment you leave the front door until you return home - it's a real pleasure to ride here. However, the region really has it all and is more suitable for demanding cyclists. Steep climbs, kilometres of asphalted roads through almost untouched nature, panoramic views over the entire Kvarner Bay, many picturesque villages on the coast or in the hinterland, traditional konobas and gostionas (rustic inns with delicious food and good wine) make the heart of the race biker beat faster. The many hiking trails can also be easily travelled by mountain bike. The numerous, very well signposted routes (incl. GPS / GPX downloads), which can be accessed via an app on your smartphone from the Croatian Tourist Board, cover the entire hilly landscape of the region. Mountain bikers are also catered for on almost every level. Easy roads, challenging trails and even a downhill route in the immediate vicinity. Fancy hiking....? No problem, just do it. There are several hiking trails in the immediate vicinity of the village. They are easy to find and well signposted and signposted. It is an experience to walk along the narrow paths and trails through the densely overgrown forests. You are always rewarded with magnificent views and picturesque bays.
