We had a wonderful vacation at the Mt. Morris Cottage this year!
Perfect family weekend on the lake
Excellent communication from the start, and the pictures give an accurate representation of the cottage. Nice, quiet setting on a small lake, connected to a chain of lakes. Clean, well maintained, and plenty of room for our family of 6. We enjoyed the lake and the access to the provided paddle board, kayaks, canoe, and swimming raft. We also had campfires by the lake and fished off the private pier. A perfect getaway. Would love to return!
Great time back at Mt. Morris
The Cottage was a great place to stay for getting back to Mt. Morris. It was spacious for my parents, daughter and I to stay along with four more day visitors. The pier and raft made for great swimming. Thanks for providing all of the other great amenities too (kayaks, paddle board, grill, games, record player, sound bar, and more). Made many new family memories that we will treasure.
"Getting back to Mt. Morris" is the right phrase. It always feels a bit like a step back in time. Simple pleasures. Be sure to catch the sunrise as the sunlight sparkles across the lake like a sparkler on 4th of July. Good to have your family back - hope you come again.
Our family just returned from a wonderful stay at Mount Morris. The cabin itself was clean and had everything we needed. The location right on the lake was perfect and we took advantage of the canoe and nearby beaches. The ice cream shop nearby was a real treat on a hot day.
One of the best walks you'll every take is down the gravel road, across a foot bridge, through a short-cut squeaky gait, to The Mill ice cream and coffee shop. Just another 50 yards down the road is the locally renowned Trading Post, tavern and eatery. Two classic local venues that bring you back in time. A little under a mile walk each way. Skip a few stones on route.
Great stay at Mt. Morris
Great property. Super charming, and exactly the "cottage" feel we were looking for. The record player was a hit. The beds were comfortable, and the whole place was way cleaner than we expected. The kids spent their days jumping off the dock and swimming to the raft. We will be back!
Jumping off the dock and swimming to the raft remains among life's simplest and most enjoyable moments. Every kid should do this at least once, and ideally every summer. Hunting for frogs is another great pass time.
The cabin was very comfortable and great for kids. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you so much!
We think it is great for kids as well. We also think it is great for grown kids.
