This beautiful and immaculately renovated ground floor studio on Shem Creek, in the heart of Mt Pleasant, SC is the perfect place to experience the charm of the Lowcountry. A large and private lot with separate pathways throughout have all added to the privacy of this studio. The studio is centrally located between Downtown Historic Charleston, the beaches of Sullivans Island, and Isle of Palms. This picturesque property provides views of a five-acre fresh water lake, marshland and gorgeous sunsets. Two kayaks, two bikes and two paddle boards are provided free-of-charge so that you can paddle down the creek to dinner or bike to the many restaurants and shops on Coleman Blvd. Guests are welcome to bring and dock their own boat for an extra charge (we are only 1.5 miles from the Charleston Harbor by water). This bird lovers paradise showcases marsh and fresh water birds throughout almost 2 acres of land (Bald eagles, ospreys and otters have been spotted on the lake). Enjoy the shade of the property's southern live oak trees or soak up the sun as you fish or crab off the deep water dock.

In order to stay home with my two children, my husband and I decided renting out the the Studio on the first floor would be a great opportunity to help subsidize our mortgage, and share our beautiful location.

Why they chose this property

Once you arrive, you will see what a unique piece of property this is. With Shem Creek on one side of the garden and a five acre lake on the other side, we enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the marsh. Yet we are a stones throw to the heart of Mt Pleasant. And only a 10 minute drive to the beach and 10 minutes from historic downtown Charleston.

What makes this property unique

You will be the only person sharing this property with us. You have access to the creek, kayaks and two bicycles to help you explore Mt Pleasant. Also available is the ability to bring your boat (up to 23 feet) and leave it in the water, so you can enjoy all the water activities Charleston has to offer without having to launch your boat daily. The dock has power and water to clean you boat and catch. There is good fishing off the dock for red fish, trout and flounder.
