Located in the beautiful town of Volcano, this studio is perfect for stays to visit Volcanoes National Park. Only 8 minutes from the park entrance, you can quickly beat the crowds when an eruption occurs. Located at 3,800 feet in elevation the cool days make adventuring easy, and the nights are great for star gazing.

Nearby, the town of Volcano has restaurants and farmers markets multiple times a week. There is a winery and golf course within a 10 minute drive.

The unit was clean and well equipped for us to relax, make many of our own meals, and get good nights sleep. We were worried about bugs when we saw many windows didn’t have screens, but that didn’t prove to be a problem. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Perfect spot, we were on volcano watch and happy to be in a snug nice place so close to the park and day trips. Really well appointed, including comfy bed, very good towels, a great kettle, an umbrella and a sweet doggie greeting. It’s a rain forest so expect wet, and lush green. Thank you to our host!!

The place was nicely done and matched the pictures online. There were a lot of little touches around that made you feel at home. The area was nice and you had complete privacy. The host responded immediately when we had a question.. I would stay here again if I have the opportunity

While I grew up in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California, my family moved to Oahu, Hawaii when I was a teenager. After over a decade on Oahu I decided to move back to a rural setting on the Big Island. I enjoy the variety of land and water based activities that Hawaii has to offer, often scuba diving and exploring new hikes. As an avid traveler I have stayed in many hosted properties over the years and strive to give an experience I would enjoy myself.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The community of Volcano is truly special. Neighbors are welcoming, the twice weekly farmers markets are convenient, and the cool clean air is inviting. Living on an active volcano might have its challenges, but being so close to all of the activities Volcanoes National Park has to offer is worth it.

この宿泊施設の特徴

While being relatively close to the black sand beaches of Punalu'u and the city of Hilo, my property is located in a quiet, safe community surrounded by a cool, lush rainforest.
