The lake house was so charming, and perfect for our family vacation. The property was clean and well equipped. We loved the screened in porch! Great place to stay.
This was one of the best place that we've stayed on a lake in Michigan. It's a small private Lake but a very nice area. The house was everything we expected and more, nice beds and linens, towels provided. Kitchen was equipped with all the basics. We had seven people and it was plenty of room. The porch off to the side was perfect at night, the dock, the grounds the fire pit it, was all wonderful. We definitely would recommend this and we most likely will stay here again!
Beautiful location. Loved the amenities and the dock with 2 kayaks. I wonderful place to enjoy the peace, make family memories and take in the surrounding areas.
I secretly don't want to give this little sliver of heaven a 5 star review, so I don't have to share it with others! It was absolutely beautiful and perfect for families. It was very clean and ideal for a week away with a full kitchen, yet close enough to town to go out to eat if need be. It is close to all the attractions but when you're at the home you feel a million miles away. I can't say enough. My family of 4 loved our week away.
Our family vacation was wonderful in part because of this very cozy home that we stayed in. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids. The home is inviting and clean and very welcoming. The kitchen was complete with everything you need to cook a meal and the grill was perfect too. We loved watching the loons and swans every day and used the provided kayaks on the lake as well. My granddaughters had fun in the water and we loved all of the wild flowers and pretty landscaping. The host is very responsive and was beyond accommodating. It was a family vacation we will remember for years to come and we appreciate our time in this beautiful home. Thank you!!
Our host was incredibly kind, responsive, and genuinely tried to help with any concerns we had. The property is beautiful, has a wonderful view, and the house was stocked with just about everything you could need. It was also conveniently located and only a short drive to the attractions we wanted to visit.Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the lack of effective air conditioning. For the first three days, the house stayed above 80F and reached over 85F when the oven was used. Although additional window units were brought in, they never cooled the entire house or all of the bedrooms. We also encountered quite a few bugs in the basement, the downstairs TV never connected to the internet, and the two small outdoor trash cans filled quickly, requiring multiple trips to the overflow dumpster.Overall, we appreciated the host’s communication and willingness to help. If the cooling issues are addressed, this would be an excellent place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback. I truly appreciate hearing about our guests' experiences, and I always work hard to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Your family stayed with us during an unprecedented heat wave that affected both the UP and many other parts of the country, with heat index values reaching around 102°F in the UP. During those conditions, using the oven can significantly increase the temperature inside the home. Before your stay, you had asked if we had a crockpot, so we purchased one for the house, and we also provide an outdoor grill as another cooking option.
We also wanted to make the home as comfortable as possible during the extreme weather. We replaced one AC unit that wasn't cooling sufficiently and added an additional unit during your stay. As I mentioned at the time, I also tried to find another AC unit, but local stores were sold out because of the heat wave, and we weren't able to have one delivered before your visit ended.
I wasn't made aware of any concerns about bugs during your stay, so I didn't have the opportunity to address them. Because the home is located in the middle of a national forest, it's not uncommon for insects to occasionally make their way inside despite our regularly scheduled pest control service.
I also wasn't aware that the basement TV was having connection issues. Had I known, I could have walked you through a quick reset that typically takes about five minutes and resolves the problem.
Finally, thank you for mentioning the garbage capacity. Based on your feedback, we've added a third 55-gallon garbage can to make future stays more convenient for larger groups.
Thank you again for your comments. Feedback helps us continue improving the experience for future guests, and I wish you and your family all the best.
This property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The lake and the view are awesome. The property is peaceful and private. We truly enjoyed everything about this place.
The property is incredible. It is well appointed and extremely comfortable. Everything you need is provided, including high quality bakeware and utensils. There is plenty of room for a large family. The kayaks were such fun! Would absolutely recommend this property!
This location is perfect if you are looking for a very serene vacation. We loved the lake view, both from outside and inside. The ability to use the kayaks was a huge plus. Andy was extremely responsive to questions, and the check in/directions he provided were very thorough. This was the first VRBO I have ever booked, and it was a very great experience.
