We had a wonderful visit! The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring the area and loved the lake views from the back deck. Check-in was easy and the host gave us great recommendations. We would definitely return!

Pros, house and porches were clean, beautiful,a kitchen well stocked for anything.Cons,The entry is not well represented in the pictures,it is extremely dangerous. I spoke to Jodi to get special permission to have elderly guests for a few hours one day as we have family in the area, before we arrived..We discussed the pictured 3:steps seemed doable for them with help. She did not mention the 10 uneven, unstable steps with no handrails that you must walk up to get to the 3 steps in the pictured entrance.Loading and unloading was a nightmare. To be fair, there is a pathway for wheelchair,it is narrow, long, and so steep you better be in tip top shape to push a wheelchair up it.We are both 65 and in reasonably good health.I fell the first day unloading our belongings and carrying all that in,not injured, but was a nightmare getting our guest in and out, also no lighting outside except one motion light we discovered leaving, none on porches. This is a beautiful place for the young and strong. Also the big beautiful fireplace in the yard was a huge reason we chose this listing, they provide wood, but you must carry it over all the unstable ground,so,we did not even bother to use it. There needs to be a clear picture representing how to get in,and there is not. It was a huge deal for our family, especially since the host knew we would have elderly guests before we went,To be fair, there is another set of big strong stairs with proper handrails off the deck, which is not where you park.or unload.

Great feedback. As we discussed, we put in a smooth walkway with a gentle incline so that you can completely avoid the stone stairs. There are no stairs to the walkway. I am sorry you felt the walkway was steep. We designed it for our older friends with knee and hip issues who so appreciate it. The wood is stacked one foot from the fireplace to make it easy to add wood in this beautiful outdoor fireplace. There are plenty of outdoor lights and we will make sure it is obvious to renters how to turn those on.

The house was clean and well-stocked with kitchen items, towels, and extra blankets. It is tucked away in the trees, which made it feel secluded despite sits convenient location, close to Jack Rabbit Mountain for mountain biking and cool dips in the lake! We loved the outdoor fireplace and the deck with a view of the lake. The host was friendly and communicative. Will visit again if we’re back in the area!

This is a beautiful mountain home with stunning views from the porch. The home was equipped with all of the cookware we needed to cook some meals and was a convenient drive to the Ingles. We slept well on the comfortable beds and the bathrooms are newly remodeled. It’s an easy drive to access the property. The hosts gave us their contact information and were quick to respond to our questions. We saw several deer on the property and my mom almost stepped on a snake hanging out on the stone steps so we used the ramp pathway the rest of the time. When you are in the woods, this is to be expected. At night the fireflies put on a beautiful show! There are also lots of flies in the area and they get inside, but they are not the biting type. We are hopeful to stay at this beautiful property again sometime in the future.
