About this property

Sasquatch's Tiny Treehouse on creek - old growth forest in Portland - ADVENTURE!

Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse on Bear Creek – A Magical Woodland Adventure Just 10 Minutes from Portland. Welcome to one of the most unforgettable stays in the Portland area. Tucked beside beautiful Bear Creek and surrounded by towering trees, wildlife, and pure storybook charm, Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse is not just a getaway — it is an experience. This tiny home retreat was created for guests who want something rare, magical, and deeply memorable. Here, you can fall asleep to the sounds of the creek, wake to birdsong, and step outside into a world where deer, elk, owls, flying squirrels, and rabbits may all make an appearance. In the creek below, you might spot fish and crawdads moving through the clear water. It feels like a secret woodland kingdom — yet you are only 10 minutes from Portland. And the adventure begins before you even arrive. This stay is for the adventurous at heart. From the parking area, guests take a 4-minute forest walk, then cross a breathtaking 100-foot-long suspension bridge high in the air that leads to Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse. The journey in becomes part of the magic. Once here, the property invites you to explore and play: toss a game of cornhole, challenge someone to giant tic-tac-toe, wander the huge labyrinth, and look carefully up into the trees, where somewhere hidden 70 feet in the sky is a giant dreamcatcher. Can you find it? There is truly nothing else like this in Portland. In fact, this space was so unique that special permits had to be created to make it possible. Important note: the bathroom is in a separate unit about 10 feet away from the treehouse and is occasionally shared with one other nearby unit. If you are looking for ordinary, this is not it. If you are looking for magic, nature, whimsy, romance, and a one-of-a-kind adventure, Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse may be exactly what you have been hoping to find.

Unfortunately, our reservation was double-booked. When we arrived, the cabin was already occupied by another guest. We were unable to reach anyone from either the property or Vrbo who could help at the time, so we had to spend part of our vacation finding another place to stay. Communication was difficult throughout the process. We booked through Expedia, and because the reservation was processed through Vrbo, we were unable to receive messages or check-in instructions. In the end, that wouldn't have mattered since the cabin was already occupied. A representative from the property contacted us more than 24 hours later and quickly refunded the portion they controlled, but the rest had to be handled through Vrbo, which took additional time and effort during our trip. A few other things future guests should know: the cabin was much smaller than expected and would have been very tight for our family of four. The bridge leading to it is missing several planks, making it less than ideal when carrying luggage. The creek was dry during our early June visit, though that may be seasonal. I'm leaving this review because we were told that double bookings happen fairly regularly. Mistakes happen, but I hope additional steps are taken to prevent future guests from arriving after a long day of travel only to find their accommodations already occupied, and no way to get any resolution.
