Welcome to this quaint and unique farmhouse dating back to 1758. Take a tour of the house and explore its large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, the gallery, five charming rooms—some featuring original farmhouse beds—wooden floors, and painted doors, as well as a bathroom, a small kitchen, and cosy nooks. Lovingly furnished with antique furniture and accessories, it’s an ideal place to relax, a great starting point for outdoor activities, or a spot for chatting and spending time together. Sit in the farm garden, by the garden shed that houses a sauna, and gaze out over the valley. This house is perfect for couples, families, hiking groups, seminar groups, and get-togethers with friends.

Hike directly from the house into a vast hiking area, enjoy the sights of the neighbouring towns, and relax in front of the fireplace in the evening. It’s about a 20-minute hike through fields and woods to Schiedersee. Children can explore nature and discover many attractions in the surrounding area.
Experience farmhouse charm: This beautiful farmhouse, lovingly restored, captivates with its charm. Upon entering the house, visitors are greeted by a true gem. Antique one-of-a-kind pieces, the large main hall, and the many charming rooms with wooden floors offer something new to discover at every turn. Since the house was built in 1758, please note that ceiling heights vary and the property reflects its age. Anyone who has ever visited the open-air museum in Detmold will find here a place to truly live and experience. The attic apartment is bright and equipped with everything you need. It is heated by a pellet stove. Here, up to 12 people can enjoy a wonderful time together. Families can enjoy a holiday together; seminar participants can learn and grow together; active travellers can hike, bike, or engage in other sports together; and couples can experience romance. Art and culture enthusiasts can also take sightseeing tours in the many neighbouring half-timbered towns.
The cottage garden, with its rustic seating areas, offers a sweeping view of the valley. This is the perfect spot for a cosy get-together.
Gatherings with family and friends, celebrations: Thanks to its comfortable size and, above all, the large living hall, the house is a welcoming place for family and friends to come together. Celebrations are welcome. However, we ask groups planning a boisterous party involving the consumption of very large amounts of alcohol (e.g., bachelor/hen nights) to refrain from this out of respect for the house and its furnishings. We would also like to remind families with small children that, given the architectural features (including stairs and steps), they are responsible for ensuring proper supervision.
