The location of our stay was perfect. Parking was tight! The space shared a driveway with another home, which made entering, exiting, and parking in the designated space difficult. The parking situation was communicated by the owner ahead of time, and during the stay. Due to the units location, larger vehicles should park on the street to ensure no vehicle damage. The space was nice! However, due to the high temperature’s this weekend in Wilmington, The space was quite warm. The bathroom and kitchen areas were extremely warm. The window units made sleeping areas comfortable enough. For a historical home in downtown Wilmington, with the high temperatures, and being on the second floor, it’s expected. Although I would not stay at this place again, it worked well for our very busy weekend. The price was ok based on previous experiences with ARBNB and VRBO. Owners are very communicative and live adjacent to the space. Chose this space due to its location, accessibility to downtown, the beach and ability to get to different places in and around the city. Overall, a unique space! Owners seem to take pride in the renovation and honoring the architectural heritage of the area.

Thank you for your kind words! We do take a lot of pride in the restoration of our property and are glad you enjoyed the location and character of our carriage house.
For posterity sake, we do have in our public listing that parking can be tight (which can be seen pre-booking) and that large vehicles will likely not fit in the off street space and should look for free street parking. Your vehicle did fit perfectly fine, though you felt it was acceptable to park outside of your parking space, intruding on the other units parking and front door space, even though the house rules state otherwise.
Had you reached out during your stay to let us know that the unit was warm we could have remedied. In the future please reach out to hosts during your stay with issues, so that you can be accommodated!
Safe travels.
