This is a charming little bungalow adjacent to the main house on this property. There's 3 rooms: a fairly large bed/living room/kitchen, a bathroom, and a covered patio. Large king bed, full-sized fridge, range, lovely impressionist painting in the bathroom. The centerpiece of this place, however, is the host, Keith. We chatted shortly after arriving and his tips on where to go and do on the island changed our trip from aimless wandering into a magical evening with fireflies and lightning. We spent some time that evening listening to a thunderstorm roll in under the covered patio. I live about 3000 miles away, but if I get the chance to go back to Ocracoke, this is the first place I'd look to stay.

The place was nice but there needs to be blinds installed on the open Windows we had to put black trash bags up on the windows at night..a pathway needs to be cleared to the place.there is a bunch of junk as you walk up . It rained the whole time when we were there and when we first got there, we opened up the door and then we left for lunch and I slipped and fell on the stairs so I would think you need to add some of those sticky asphalt tape so people don’t fall. There’s also roach motels all visible in the place and just didn’t think that that was very appealing to me.

I’m sorry you had such a rainy stay Chrisa- I do have blinds that close on all the windows except one that has no site lines that go anywhere except into nature. Regarding bug traps- summertime and people have habit of leaving food out and leaving the door open- and the Sugar ants are going crazy this summer so there are bug traps as I do not want them in the house! I hope you have a sunnier stay on your next visit to Ocracoke- although as a local, we are grateful when we get some cloudy, rainy weather after 1000 days of blazing sun;)! I will take into account your suggestion about the stairs!

After a hiccup with the ferry, we arrived much later than planned. Keith was so understanding and helpful. The bungalow is beautiful and everything the beach life is about. Nestled in lush foliage, it feels like a jungle retreat but it’s only minutes from the beach and the sound. Being pet friendly was the icing on the cake. We were able to take our older dog to the beach for the first time. Core memories were made.

The Bungalow was so beautiful and cozy, the bathroom being my personal favorite. Very open and clean and anything we needed was there for us! The location is a perfect spot for walking to different places in town and Kieth was an incredible host! Providing top tier recommendations and answering questions very timely! The price is well deserved, for the spot and how lovely the place is, I would consider it a steal! We had a wonderful time and definitely plan on coming back!
