About this property

Rising Sun Ranch - Log Cabin on 25 Acres, Hot Tub, Ponds & Sunset Views

Escape to your own private corner of the Ozarks at Rising Sun Ranch, a hand-hewn log cabin nestled on 25 secluded acres in the rolling hills of Northwest Arkansas. Here, you’ll find the peace and privacy of a true country retreat while remaining just minutes from Bentonville, Crystal Bridges, world-class mountain biking, Beaver Lake, and all the best attractions the region has to offer.

Whether you’re looking for a family getaway, a mountain biking basecamp, a romantic retreat, or simply a place to unplug and reconnect with nature, Rising Sun Ranch offers space to breathe, room to explore, and views that make it hard to leave.

The Property

The ranch sits on 25 private acres of pasture, woods, ponds, and gently rolling Ozark countryside. Start your morning with coffee on the wraparound porch as the sun rises over the hills and hummingbirds zip between feeders. Spend the afternoon wandering trails along the edge of the woods, exploring the property’s two ponds and seasonal creek, or simply relaxing and taking in the quiet. Note: No motorized vehicles of any kind are permitted anywhere on the property — this includes ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides.

Wildlife is one of the property’s greatest gifts. Deer are frequent visitors, and bird lovers will enjoy the active bird population, including hummingbirds, great-tailed grackles, and many other native species. As an added bit of country charm, the neighboring property is home to a herd of miniature donkeys that guests often enjoy watching from a distance.

Dogs are especially welcome here. With 25 acres to roam, trails to explore, ponds to investigate, and plenty of open space, many guests find their dogs enjoy the vacation just as much as they do.

As evening settles in, watch the sky turn brilliant shades of orange and pink from the porch, then slip into the hot tub and enjoy the peaceful surroundings beneath the stars.

The Cabin

Built from hand-hewn logs, the cabin blends rustic character with modern comfort. Inside, soaring cathedral ceilings and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace create a warm, inviting gathering space that feels both spacious and cozy.

Large windows frame views of the surrounding property and fill the cabin with natural light. Whether you’re curled up with a book, sharing a meal with family, or planning your next adventure, the cabin was designed to bring people together.

Kitchen & Dining

The fully equipped chef’s kitchen features a professional gas range and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay.

Unlike many vacation rentals, you’ll find more than just the basics. The kitchen is stocked with:

* Coffee
* Spices and seasonings
* Cooking oils
* Butter
* Flour and sugar
* Cookware and bakeware
* Dishes, utensils, and kitchen essentials

Whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast before hitting the trails or cooking a family dinner after a day of exploring Northwest Arkansas, you’ll have what you need.

Sleeping Arrangements

The cabin comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests.

* Primary suite with private ensuite bath and sitting area
* Two additional bedrooms
* Loft sleeping space for extra guests
* Two full bathrooms

The primary suite offers peaceful views of the surrounding pasture and woods, creating a quiet retreat at the end of the day.

Outdoor Living

One of the highlights of Rising Sun Ranch is simply being outside.

* Wraparound porch with comfortable seating
* Private hot tub overlooking the property
* Two ponds
* Seasonal creek
* Trails along the woods edge
* Wildlife viewing opportunities
* Star-filled night skies
* Plenty of room for dogs, kids, and adults to explore

You won’t find crowded neighborhoods, traffic noise, or houses stacked on top of each other here. Just open space, fresh air, and the sounds of nature.

* Bentonville Square
* Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

We travelled to NWA for a business trip for my husband and to visit friends. It was very clean and it had all the basic supplies. The size of the cabin, porch, and property was perfect for hosting friends! The property was also accommodating for our 15 year old son and it was easy for him to find things to do! Barb was very responsive anytime I had a question! I also love the fact that it is pet friendly! I’m glad we chose to stay at the Rising Sun Ranch for our stay!

Hi! We’re Barb and Jeremy. We fell in love with this property the moment we drove up the driveway and saw the rolling hills, ponds, and beautiful log cabin tucked into the Ozarks.

We split our time between Minnesota and Arkansas and enjoy spending time outdoors with our family, dogs, horses, goats, and chickens. We created Rising Sun Ranch as a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the peace and privacy that can be hard to find these days.

Whether you’re here to explore Northwest Arkansas, ride the world-class mountain bike trails, fish, relax in the hot tub, or simply enjoy a quiet weekend away, we’re excited to share this special place with you and are always happy to help make your stay memorable.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area because it offers the best of both worlds: peaceful Ozark countryside and easy access to everything that makes Northwest Arkansas special.

From the cabin, you’re just minutes from Bentonville, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Beaver Lake, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, Slaughter Pen Trails, and Pea Ridge National Military Park. Yet when you’re at the ranch, it feels like you’re miles away from it all.

We love the rolling hills, dark night skies, abundant wildlife, quiet country roads, and friendly rural atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the morning exploring Bentonville and the afternoon watching hummingbirds from the porch.

What makes this property unique

Rising Sun Ranch isn’t just a cabin—it’s 25 private acres of Ozark beauty all to yourself.

Unlike many vacation rentals tucked into neighborhoods or cabin developments, you’ll have room to roam, explore, and truly disconnect. Guests can enjoy two private ponds, a seasonal creek, trails along the edge of the woods, abundant wildlife, and stunning sunrise and sunset views.

The hand-hewn log cabin combines rustic character with modern comforts, including a chef’s kitchen, Starlink WiFi, a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, and a private hot tub overlooking the property.

One of our favorite features is the wraparound porch. The rocking chairs are perfect for morning coffee, but the oversized porch couch is where we always seem to end up. Whether you’re reading a book, taking an afternoon nap, watching deer wander through the pasture, or enjoying a sunset over the hills, it’s the kind of spot that makes you lose track of time.

We’re also proudly dog-friendly. With 25 acres to explore, ponds to investigate, and trails to wander, many guests tell us their dogs enjoy the vacation just as much as they do.

And for a little extra country charm, the neighboring herd of miniature donkeys often makes an appearance and has become a favorite with guests.
