Thank you for the wonderful review. We're so glad the check in and check out went smoothly and that the cabin felt spotless with those mountain views to enjoy. That peaceful setting is one of our favorite things about this home, so it means a lot to hear it made your stay special. We'd love to welcome you back whenever the mountains are calling again. This is a great property with wonderful view. I knocked off one star because the road leading to the property really requires AWD or 4x4. There are no turn offs so if you happen to meet another vehicle, someone has to back up quite a way on steep grade. However, there are very few homes on the road, and we did not experience this issue. Otherwise, this is a beautiful home with complete privacy and amenities. Having a fox visit us was a bonus.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We're so glad you enjoyed the beautiful home, the views, and that special moment with the fox visitor. We appreciate you sharing your observations about the road conditions. The driveway is paved the entire way to the property, though the grade and width are characteristics of the location that we make sure are clearly noted in the listing so guests can review before booking. We'd absolutely love to welcome you back whenever your travels bring you our way again. The VueStay Team

Beautiful views. Loved exploring the area. Very clean, easy check in. The road in is bumpy but solid. We had a full size truck and were able to do a point turn to turn around. You can also go up past the house to turn around.

Great getaway with a wonderful sunset view. Road access is a little tricky when you meet oncoming traffic, but I guess locals are used to it.

Great Cabin!

This cabin was so nice! The deck is awesome and where we stayed the majority of the time. Enjoyed the grill, fire pit table and deck lights! Close to the grocery store and a fully stocked kitchen. Would recommend and also stay here again.

Will be coming back

It’s exactly as described, will be coming back. Close to town, great view, overall just great. If you’re reading other reviews and worry about the road to the cabin yes it is steep, your front wheel drive car might struggle but it can make it.

Hubby and I absolutely loved staying at black bear cabin! It was clean, cozy and those views are simply amazing! We appreciated all the little touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We had no issues getting to the cabin in our extended F10 (NOT an AWD). You just need to take it slow on the turns. It was a rainy weekend and even the wet gravel caused no problem. The turn around in thr driveway is for sure something you will have to do, but we were able to do in the truck in 5 turns. Really not a big deal and only took a couple extra minutes. We most definitely will be back!

We had a fabulous time in the mountains of Franklin and would absolutely stay here again. The road can feel treacherous for someone not used to it—my husband was comfortable driving it, but I definitely was not. That said, the outdoor space and the spectacular views were completely worth the drive. We were genuinely disappointed to leave and look forward to coming back next year!

This cabin is close to town but private and quiet. Enjoyed the large deck while grilling and watching the birds, fireflies and even a little bat at night. Wonderful cabin that we loved so much we booked another trip back in March!

Amazing cabin, fantastic deck view, really cool inside

This was a fantastic cabin, can't say enough about how nice it is. Very clean, well equipped, love the layout and furniture and all the attention to detail inside. Amazing view from the deck outside, our family loved hanging out on it in the morning and evening after rafting and hiking. You won't be disappointed!!!

Quiet retreat

The cabin was beautiful--inside and out. The location was just what we needed--quiet and peaceful, with a gorgeous view! The only suggestion I have is to put a couple of chaise lounge chairs on the deck for a relaxing view or just to take in the fresh mountain air.

Summer Getaway

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The road up is a 1 lane gravel road with lots of sharp turns, however we never had an issue with vehicles coming in the opposite direction. We drove a 2020 mustang and put it in snow/wet for better traction and it was not a problem getting up to the cabin (other than my nervousness lol). We would definitely stay here again. Love the area.
