As the former builder`s unit, Trailhead of Estes features one of the larger kitchens in the complex.
You`ll have plenty of room to prepare breakfast before heading into RMNP, pack lunches for the trails, or make dinner together after a full day of exploring.
The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, oven and stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, utensils, glassware, coffee essentials, bar seating, a dining table, and even a wine cooler for chilling your favorite drinks.
Your Private Mountain Porch:
One of our favorite features of the condo is the oversized private porch.
Start the morning with coffee and mountain views, fire up the grill for dinner, or relax outside with a drink as the sun goes down.
And keep an eye out for wildlife! Estes Park is known for its elk and other wildlife, which can frequently be seen throughout the area.
Made for Mountain Adventures:
We want Trailhead of Estes to be more than just somewhere to sleep.
We provide hiking backpacks and trail gear so you can arrive, unpack, and start exploring. Whether you`re planning an easy walk around a mountain lake or heading deeper into Rocky Mountain National Park, this is a great home base for your Colorado adventure.
Explore Estes Park you`re close to many of the area`s most popular destinations:

Some of our favorite places to explore include:
Lily Lake – A beautiful, relatively easy outing with mountain scenery. It also holds a special place in the owners` hearts—they got engaged here!
Twin Sisters – A more challenging adventure for hikers looking for a workout and incredible views.
Lake Estes – Great for walking, biking, fishing, wildlife watching, and enjoying the water.
Bear Lake Corridor – Home to some of RMNP`s most recognizable destinations, including Bear Lake, Alberta Falls, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, and Emerald Lake.
Seasonal Pool & Hot Tub:
Guests have access to the community outdoor pool and hot tub, typically available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
These amenities are operated by the HOA, so opening dates and availability can change due to weather, maintenance, repairs, or other HOA decisions.
Guest Access:
You`ll have private access to the entire condo with the exception of a locked owner`s closet.
Please note: This is an upper-level condo and requires stairs to access the unit.
Planning to Visit Rocky Mountain National Park?
Rocky Mountain National Park may require timed-entry reservations during peak season, typically from late May through mid-October. The Bear Lake Road Corridor may have separate reservation requirements.
Timed-entry reservations are separate from your park entrance pass and can sell out quickly during popular dates.
We strongly recommend checking the official Rocky Mountain National Park and Recreation. gov websites while planning your trip for current requirements.
Rules, Fees, and Policies:
🛻Vehicle Recommendation:
During the snowy months of the year (October-May) we strongly RECOMMEND a 4WD/AWD vehicle.
