When this mid-century rambler first opened its doors in 1957, it was the neighborhood's model home — the one buyers walked through to picture their future. We've restored it with that era kept lovingly intact, then layered in a warm early-'70s remodel: turquoise Formica counters, the olive vent hood, original cabinetry, avocado-green vintage appliances, and warm wood floors are all still here, preserved rather than modernized.
It's a whole-home getaway with downtown Edmonds just a short walk away — stroll to the waterfront, hop the Kingston ferry, wander the galleries and restaurants — then come home to a cozy piece of Edmonds' history.
Three bedrooms sleep up to seven:
The Cedar Room — real cedar paneling, warm and quiet, a queen bed, and mid-century walnut anchor the space. This is the one everyone fights over for the best night's sleep.
The Orange Room — bright, playful, and a little bit groovy. Rattan furniture, a sunny palette, and a queen bed make it the cheerful heart of the house, plus a dedicated workspace tucked in the corner.
The Green Room — fresh, cheery, and built for fun. A twin XL loft floats above a queen below, so it's a hit with kids claiming the top bunk or a trio of friends splitting the room.
The living room invites you to slow down: a deep sectional, soft green shag underfoot, and a Victrola record player waiting for you to drop the needle. Don't forget your records and tapes — it plays those too, because this is a house that wants to be lived in the old way. But since it's actually 2026, there's also a smart TV, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi all over the place. :)
Dogs are welcome (flat $100 per-pet fee), free on-premise parking is included, and your host lives two miles away and is always reachable if you need anything. It's a quiet residential street with full-time neighbors, so we ask for the same easy respect the house gets: no parties, quiet hours after 10 PM.
It's an easy fit for couples, small families, and groups of friends — anyone who'd rather stay somewhere with a story than somewhere generic. Ferry travelers, Edmonds weekenders, and design lovers will all feel right at home.
