About Michelle

Our family lives in Charleston, SC. We love to travel and enjoy getting away to Wilmington. I grew up in the South and my husband grew up in the Northeast but came south as soon as he could. I graduated from Clemson University and he graduated from Norwich University in Vermont. We have a ten year old daughter and an eleven year old yellow lab - both of which enjoy travelling with us.

Michelle purchased this condo in 2006

Why Michelle chose Historic District

We fell in love with this home as soon as we saw it even though we had told ourselves we would never buy an historic home. For the first few years we owned it the home was rented to mostly students at nearby UNCW but we recently decided to completely renovate the house and once we saw the beautiful results we decided it would be a great homebase for people visiting the area.

What makes this condo unique

This home has so much charm and is in a great location close to everything downtown and an easy drive to some of the best beaches in North Carolina.

So Charming and Lovely!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our Wilmington stay in the downtown historic district so much. We walked for coffee in the mornings on the brick streets and strolled to dinner in the evenings by the same meandering routes. The house itself was lovely - well decorated, warm, comfortable, lots of light but cozy. Plenty of space to relax and be rested. Beds were wonderful. Climate control was good. Did not experience any noise from other apartments in the house. Street was quiet but felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful property--close enough to walk to the riverfront, and only a 20 minute drive to Wrightsville Beach. Will be back for another stay!

We were in town from Friday to Sunday for a family wedding. Not only did we have a great retreat for r & r, but we were 4 to 7 blocks from all venues.

Great location in walkable area

  • 4 of 5

Very clean apartment with full kitchen and nice bathroom! We walked to almost everything. In just a few blocks there's quality diner spot for breakfast and good options for beers and dinner (try the Fork & Cork). Nice older homes provided a lot of interest to the area. The furniture could be a bit more comfortable but good stay for the price.
