About Kyle R Jones
Kyle and Ruth Jones have been married for three years. Kyle is in the Real Estate business, and Ruth is a software trainer. If Ruth is not traveling for work she is working from home. Now she can work from the beach! We both love to cook, and we both love seafood! Blue Crab House has many features that appealed to both of us, including the Large Kitchen and Open floor plan. Not to mention access to the freshest seafood in the world!

We have visited the island many times, and spent our honeymoon here. We have always wanted a beach property, and this property was unique enough to meet our needs. Our house is a three minute walk to the beach right to a beach access peir. We love to take our dogs to play in the water.

The property was nice and clean!
The Blue Crab House was awesome! It was clean, it had everything we needed in the kitchen! The house is well maintained and have only great things to say about it! The hot tub was a big plus! It was not a far walk to the beach or the bay! I would love to stay here again!

Property was clean, everything worked well but somewhat outdated. Strictly my fault but would've stayed closer (on) the beach. Way too far to walk and by the time you pay the difference in renting a golf cart and purchase any of the properties that aren't on the beach versus a property that is, anyone comes out much much better for a beach property. The property we stayed in was clean on the inside but needs major landscaping work which looked very unkept. All but one of the porches were very old and somewhat scary as well as all the outdoor stairs.

As an owner of a Beach property, we always strive for 100% satisfaction, as that is the only way to achieve repeat renters. It is always an Owner’s preference to hear of any issues that are experienced as soon as possible upon your arrival. As far as “coming out much much better” for a beach property, it is our experience that comparable beach houses rent for upwards of $3,000 per week, compared to our $1,825. If you add a golf cart rental at $500.00 for a week, one is still $700.00 ahead. We have always informed everyone that we are in the middle of the island, and by foot it is about a 5 minute walk, and there is plenty of car parking at the boardwalk. Our location also makes it convenient to the Bay side as well. We set our rates to cover the necessary expenses and provide as much value as possible for people interested in renting a beach house.
Like all rental houses managed by a Professional Management Company, we are required to complete an annual inspection, and every year, we address any issues that have come up. While it was not requested or required, in 2017 we chose to replace the 10 X 40 deck on the front of the house, as well as clean out the large space in the back for the Hot Tub.
I am sorry you felt our house was outdated. Half of the appliances are new, all of the TV’s and DVD Players are new, the beds are new, the grill and hot tub are new. So I am not sure what was outdated. Again I am sorry I did not hear of any issues that you experienced until now.
If in the future, if you are unable to find a Rental on St. George Island, we certainly would like for you to return to Blue Crab House.
The Big Blue Crab House was an enjoyable & comfortable house to stay! We were there to attend a family wedding down the road so we weren't there as a vacation house that we spent a lot of time.

Yep - rent this one!
We've rented a lot of houses and condos on and near the beach. This one is worth booking. It you are looking to save a few bucks by staying inland (like me) this is perfect; it's an easy 2 1/2 short blocks to the beach; nothing to sweat over. The interior is cool - it's a great, unique layout and not beat up like some rentals. The deck and balconies (one off each bedroom - cool) is awesome. The deck is huge and there is a lot of comfortable furniture. Have a great vaca! You won't be sorry here.
We had a nice time -- the house was perfect for us. Close to the beach and an easy bike ride to restaurants. Enjoyed the new deck and hot tub!

Blue Crab family vaca
We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Crab. The kitchen was well stocked and the decor made us feel right at home. The outdoor shower was great for washing the sand away. TVs in each bedroom was a bonus also as kids could watch a movie on their own at night after a long day at the beach. The property itself was great because the trees provided privacy. My only complaint would be that the beds were a Murphy style and very uncomfortable. Owner had stated that he would be replacing soon.
