Beautiful condo(2 br)-Check for Off season prices- fireplace, porch, two bedroom

Guests are welcome at the Peninsula, a friendly private, upscale gated country club and golf resort (Jack Nicholas Signature Golf Course) situated on the Indian River Bay close to the Atlantic Ocean beach towns of Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach and the Delaware Bay town of Lewes Beach. It is also a short drive to other quaint towns on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware. Take a week off-season and explore the quaint towns of the Eastern Shore. New in 2017 is the completed luxurious clubhouse.

The first thing you see as you enter the gated Peninsula grounds is a beautiful fountain followed by a tree lined, elegant main "esplanade"-which leads thorough the resort. For the holidays, the evening view is spectacular with lighted trees for each community.

The Peninsula golf resort has been named BEST RESORT in Delaware for its world-class amenities, distinctive and luxurious design. The newly built clubhouse opened in December and give guests another luxurious option for dining in walking distance to the condo. Or travel a short distance to Rehoboth or Lewes and enjoy the exceptional restaurants in the area.

A vacation at the Peninsula is ideal for families that want a beach vacation without the hassle, worries or crowds. In the summer there are three pools available to guests. There is a restaurant available on site. Relax at the wave pool where you can sit on a lounge chair under an umbrella and watch the little ones without worrying about the rough ocean current, yet they get to play in the waves and dig in the sand. Grab a drink or snack at the nearby snack bar. Also, children can climb on the nearby play equipment.

For adults relax at the large adult pool with a cool drink and when the sun gets too hot, go into the beautiful pool without the noise and splashing of children. Or have dinner pool side. There is also the large indoor pool and gym (great for bad weather in the summer, for swimming laps, and open all year round for winter fun). There is a hot tub both indoors and another outdoors (adults only). Even bad weather won't destroy your vacation! Then there is the bay beach so you can experience nature and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards at a reasonable rate. Special activites such as taking a pontoon boat ride are available in the summer.

If you don't want to get in the water, get active other ways. There are a variety of classes offered in the aerobics room; there are great tennis courts, a basketball court, pickle ball play, and of course, golf. Lessons are offered by pros. We also have a variety of books, movies on dvds, and cds in the condo.

Our nearby condo which is in walking distance to the pools and gym. No need to get into the car and drive. Other amenities include a spa, a state of the art gym, nature trails, bike and walking paths, a fishing pier, a bay beach with low waves, kayaking, eco tours in the summer, a nature center,, a game room (great for kids), and resort sponsored activities year round. Special activities are offered throughout the summer.

Nearby is tax free outlet shopping (Tanger Outlets) and ocean beaches, the movie theater, many restaurants, state parks, quaint small towns, etc.

DAY TRIPS: Even in the off season, your vacation gives you the opportunity to do day trips to visit many nearby interesting day trip destinations in both Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. Day trips from the condo include the nautical town of St. Michael's Maryland, the Salisbury zoo, Ocean City Md, the quaint towns of Berlin, MD, Lewes, DE, Milton, DE and many, many more. Go to Dover, DE and see the Air Mobility Command Museum or head to northern Delaware area for the famous Longwood Gardens, Winterthur museum and gardens, the Hagley Museusm and many more. Take the ferry across the bay, enjoy the boat ride, and go to the Victorian town of Cape May, New Jersey- a great day trip.

Our unit offers 1,350 square feet of luxury condominium living. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo has been decorated with flair and features a gourmet kitchen with upgraded cabinetry, tile floor, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. It is complete with all new small appliances/cookware and china/silverware that provides service for 12, a contemporary dining room and spacious living room. In the winter or on cold fall and winter days, turn on the gas fireplace with a flip of a switch and relax after a busy day shopping at the outlets or touring. Just past the living room is your private screened in balcony with a view of the woods and the golf course. Designed with light, bright and airy spaces this home offers ultimate privacy and relaxation.

The unit includes a full-sized washer and dryer, free WIFI FIOS connection, 42-inch HD TV in the Living room, 32-inch TV in the Master bedroom, and a DVD player. There is a King bed in the master bedroom and a chair that converts into a single bed. In the second bedroom there is a Queen size bed and for additional sleeping accommodations, two single cots are available. In front of the condo building is a small toddler’s playground and there is designated, covered parking underneath the building. The condo is within easy walking distance to the Lakeside Village where all of the pools, golf facilities, tennis courts, gym, and restaurant are located. A new clubhouse was finished in December of 2017.

The limit on the number of guests is 5 adults or up to 6 guests if one is a child. It is a great get away off season for couples. Rates off season are very low. Don't hesitate to inquire.

We have a storage closet in the parking garage. Available to you to use during your stay are two adult coaster bikes, beach chairs and an umbrella, sand toys, boogie boards, and miscellaneous items.

Additional Notes:

About Gina Scanlon

We live locally and enjoy water activities on the inland bays such as boating, crabbing and clamming as well as swimming in the ocean beaches, tax free shopping, and great restaurants. Most week-ends there are special community events that attract travelers from nearby states. We had a second home in Rehoboth since the 1980's and in 2000 decided to move here permanently because we like the area so much.

Gina Scanlon purchased this condo in 2014

Why Gina Scanlon chose Delaware

We were not even looking to buy a property when we found this lovely condo! It was decorated beautifully and in a great location, close to all the amenities in the Peninsula. It is so comfortable and relaxing to stay here. You can walk and bike in a beautiful setting year round. Also, it is centrally located for exploring the many quaint towns on the "Eastern Shore".

What really sold us was the Lakeside Village with pools and other amenities. You feel very pampered when staying here. Coming in the winter of 2017 is the new clubhouse where you will be able to dine with views of the golf course and the water.

What makes this condo unique

Want to feel special? You will here at the Peninsula resort. All the staff are friendly and helpful. There is so much to do within walking distance of the condo: Go to the spa, walk the nature trails, ride your bikes, swim in the indoor pool year round, swim outside in either wave pool or the adult pool, sit on sand at the bay beach or swim, kayak, or paddle board in the bay, relax in the Jacuzzi, golf, play tennis or basketball, enjoy the game room or exercise in the gym.

You don't need to leave the resort, but if you do the Delaware beaches are a short distance away...from the low wave beach in Lewes on the Delaware Bay (good for little ones) to the ocean beaches in Rehoboth and Dewey. There are several beautiful ocean front state parks that have special activities throughout the year... and many more activities such as para sailing, windsurfing, sailing, etc. all a short distance away. There are many nearby small towns to visit, each with their own unique characteristics. You can even take a ferry and do a day trip to Cape May New Jersey.

There is 'no sales tax' outlet shopping and many antique stores. There are special activities throughout the year in the area including the Jazz Festival and Sea Witch festival in October, the Indian Pow Wow in September, the Film Festival in November, Kite flying competition Easter week-end, etc. or you can just RELAX!

October Wedding

  • 5 of 5

We came to the Rehoboth area for the wedding of a very dear friend's daughter. Hotels can be a bit cramped, difficult and expensive.

My wife came upon the VRBO website and she investigated. It was no more expensive and far more comfortable and roomy than a hotel/motel.

2 bedrooms, full kitchen, 2 baths, dining room/living room and laundry area- all nicely furnished. Our hostess left many touches that made it easy to stay here for 5 days. The whole Peninsula community reminded us of a "Disney" facility- so clean and with security gate 24/7. Thanks so much to Gina. It was great!!!!!

Amazing place, well stocked, beautiful club/pool, great deal

  • 5 of 5

Almost hate to let others in on this gem. Gina's place is spacious and was perfect for our family. Our kids enjoyed spending time at the wave pool even more than the ocean. It feels like home only better. We will be back.
