A very quiet end of the beach for families with small children, fishing or couple’s romantic weekend away from the crowds. Walk around decks on both levels with two large decks (covered and uncovered areas) to relax and enjoy the unobstructed views of the beach and the bay! Both levels are gated to keep your small pets and children safe. This bright and contemporary vacation home is the perfect place for friends and family to enjoy a relaxing trip together. Featuring comfortable, colorful, and tropical furnishings, the living space features comfortable seating and an open floor plan to the kitchen and dining room which makes socializing easy - plus it means the chef won't miss any of the fun! Includes satellite TV and secure WIFI. When you are ready for some time outdoors, take advantage of the miles of beaches right outside your door – walking, by car or golf cart (rentals available on peninsula). Slab (ground) level includes an enclosed hot/cold sand shower, fish sink, picnic table and a large permanent stainless steel charcoal grill! This rental includes the first floor unit and access to all decks with plenty of deck chair seating. The upper unit is not for rent and unoccupied.

About Cobb Real Estate

Frank and Patti Sands live in Dallas, Texas for 30 years, but Patti is originally from the Beaumont area and grew up going to the Bolivar Peninsula. We bought a beach cabin in 2007, refurbished it in time for it to be swept away in Hurricane Ike, September 13, 2008 with 3,400 other homes! We decided to rebuild and share our home with others since we live further away than most and don’t get to the beach as often as we would like. We chose to have our home managed by Cobb Real Estate, a very reputable local company that handles rentals. Since we live so far away, the advantage for renters is if there is a problem, it will be handled expeditiously or Cobb has the ability to move guests to another home if the problem is unfixable quickly. Their staff is always available to help with information about the area or activities. Local management protects our guests from possible fraud that has been talked about on national news with these national rental sites. It gives our guests piece of mind and having local management is a plus for our guests.

Precious cabin almost on the water. Clean and well designed with a great kitchen, comfortable memory foam mattress, and all the amenities. The only thing missing is a screen door for ocean breezes and a more expansive view. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Would love to come back.

Checkin was easy. House was clean but had a slight smell of mildew upon arrival. Opened the windows for a bit and it was all gone in no time. We noticed some items in the house seemed to be "glued back together" as a temporary fix - not sure if this was from management or previous renters. IMPORTANT: Basic necessities are NOT included such as toilet paper, hand soap, etc... This is not mentioned anywhere on VRBO but I was told it is mentioned somewhere on management's business website...

Great location. Easy steps to rental with Cobb Reality. Very clean, 2nd row beach view and walking distance to the beach. Awesome sunrises and sunsets. Beds very comfortable, kitchen has all you need to cook and prepare meals. Cleaning station and BBQ on the ground floor available.

The rental rate was also very attractive. A check in time of noon on Friday and check out time of 2 on Sunday was generous. I would stay again.

The property was excellent, very clean, comfortable beds and the kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, glasses and cook ware. I really can't say enough nice things about the house. The view of the water was awesome, morning coffee on the deck was my high point. When we return we will book this property.

• 17.1 miles west to the free 20 minute Ferry Ride with your car to Galveston is a great day trip! In Galveston there is the new Pleasure Pier Amusement Park built on a pier over the water, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Seawall, and The Historic Strand for shopping and entertainment, lots of restaurants and souvenir shopping on Seawall Blvd and the Strand. Of course, if you just want to take it easy and stay close to the cabin, there are restaurants, souvenir shops, night life and a water slide on the Peninsula as well as hours of swimming, fishing, shelling, bird watching and enjoying the quite beach, right in front of Abby Sands Castle a short 1 minute walk from the driveway! Don����t forget to rent the beach golf cart for cruising the 23 miles of beach!
