Fully-stocked craftsman kitchen, spacious and private backyard, and beautiful views await you. 5 minutes to downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City, 11 min to Garden of the Gods, 20 min to Colorado Springs airport and the Air Force Academy. Two bedrooms and one bathroom on each floor. Perfect for a family vacation or getaway with friends.

Perfect Stay

We stayed here in January while visiting family. This house was exactly what we were looking for! It's located in a very quiet neighborhood yet just a couple minutes' drive to Manitou, great restaurants and tourist attractions. Morning walks in the neighborhood were peaceful and next to no traffic. We enjoyed watching the squirrels frolicking in the mature trees during our walks. Pike's Peak is visible from the house and the backyard, which also offers nice views of the valley.The host provided for everything. Nothing was lacking, which often is the case for kitchen supplies. We have stayed in about four house rentals and this one takes the cake for providing everything needed to feel at home. Well done! If you are pondering a stay in this area, you can't go wrong with this property. Happy vacationing!

Amazing gem

This home is very well taken care of with all of the amenities that you may need for your vacation. It is cute inside and out and the beds are very comfy! The host is very responsive, accommodating and communicates quickly. We can’t wait to go back for a longer vacation!

Exploring Garden of Gods

Rachel is a perfect host! Spot on with supplying everything our group could want including baby basics and games/toys for kiddos. Kitchen/bath completely stocked/equipped nicer than any Vrbo! The smores were the icing on the cake. Great location to everything. Thank you so much

Beautiful Getaway w/in the city but features an amazing mountain view

Everything was perfect & ready for us. This 2story home easily accommodates 8 people. The hosts were nice and I’m thankful that they accommodated us and treated us like family in their getaway.

Perfect Quiet Scenic Location

July 4th Family Vacation close to Pikes Peak. Wife and I hiked Pikes Peak and enjoyed Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and Cripple Creek with the rest of the family. The "Purple House" was the perfect place at the start and end of each day. From mountain views on the front porch drinking coffee to Mountain views in the back yard cooking dinner. Host had great communication and the house had everything and more. Even though it was July, the house stayed comfortable and the area was very quiet.

Charming home in a great location.

The house was nicely appointed and very comfortably housed our group of 6. The outdoor deck space and views were fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful views

This property has an amazing view of Pikes Peak and is close to Harden of the Gods and many trails. Don’t miss Helen Hunt falls and the gold mine road at the end. Breath taking. The property has all the amenities you can think of and more. Well stocked kitchen and bath rooms. Could not ask for a quieter neighborhood. And best of all they welcomed our large breed dogs. Thanks we hope to visit again.

Spring break 24

This house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. Location was ideal, in the middle of all the fun things to do. Owners were wonderful and kindly mailed back a ring that was left behind.

Exceeded all expectations

This cute home easily holds all they list it as. Has more extras than I can list. We had Thanksgiving with our son who is living out here; easily had most of what we needed to do that. So many extras: plenty of towels and blankets, kitchen needs, and toiletries. Easy access to their wifi, Rachel was super available. Great welcome booklet. New stove, large washer and drier…I could go on and on. This is our new home away from home. Rachel is an amazing hostess and you won’t EVER be left wondering with her…in the best possible way.

Very accommodating. Loved all the night lights, space heaters (not that we needed them), ice cream coupons and welcome bottle of wine. Only suggestion I have would be to turn down the hot water heater a notch. VERY hot!

Quiet and Cozy with a View

My family and I were in town for a wedding at the Garden of the Gods. This was a perfect location to the venue, Old Colorado City, Downtown, parks, mountains and much more. We loved the accommodations and really being able to just show up with our bags and not have to worry about some of the smaller grocery items that often do not get used up during the stay. We loved the outside area and grilling/eating outside over looking Pikes Peak. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Love the purple house!!

Such a fantastic stay. From booking to departure. The house was even cuter in person and all the patios were amazing for hanging out sun or rain. And the cookies were incredible- we are hoping to get the recipe. Highly recommend.

Comfortable and relaxing

We loved our stay at your property. You had everything we needed and more than we expected. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stocked with all the gadgets anyone could want. The view from the front porch was so beautiful and relaxing. Great spot for family

We are a family of 6 and we stayed for a week. There was tons of stuff to do very close by, so this is a great central location. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and the house has a great use of space. The host was extremely responsive any time we had a question. We would absolutely stay here again. My advice to future renters is to check the host’s book about what is walkable vs not walkable- it’s accurate! Ice cream may only be a mile away but don’t walk it!

Rachel’s house

We absolutely loved staying at Rachel’s house! It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. She left us with the best homemade chocolate chip cookies and delicious coffee, which was a wonderful surprise. The house is on a hill with views of Pikes Peak. It is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of shops and restaurants in Old Colorado City. It’s also a quick drive to downtown Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and Red Rock Open Space. We cannot recommend Rachel’s house enough, and hope to stay there again soon!!

Christmas Vacation.

The property was as listed and had a very cozy vibe, you truly feel at home! Rachel was very attentive and quick to respond to any messages, even when asking for suggestions. The house was aquept with just about anything you may need for a long or short stay. It was a quick drive to local shops, restaurants, and excursions nearby. The upstairs bedroom had a beautiful view of the mountains, and the backyard was set up for grilling or simply lighting a fire.

After growing up in a busy metropolitan area, I set out to find a place that spoke to me and fit my life. The first time I visited Springs I was hooked, specifically the charming, funky west side. It would be another thirteen years before I got to call it home, but it drew me right back in immediately. I love the small-town feel, the incredible neighbors we get to call our friends, and the abundant access to connect with nature.

A massage therapist by trade, my profession is currently on hold as I raise an energetic little lady in my every waking hour. You’ll find us roaming trails, building forts, or-my FAVORITE-paddling any body of water we can get to.

I love people and travel, and hosting has given me the chance to experience both in a new, broader way. To share the home we love with people from all over the world is such a delight. I love to connect personally with my guests, and make it my aim to welcome you as best as I possibly can. I look forward to hosting you!

Old Colorado City offers such a welcoming feel. From walking the tree-lined streets, to easy access for restaurants and events both downtown and in OCC, it doesn't take long to feel right at home. (Fun fact: 9 of the top 10 restaurants on yelp in Colorado Springs are within 2 miles of our home!) Convenient location with the peace and quiet of being tucked far away from the city, it's the best of both worlds.
