The Sherwin condo description: ***We ask all of our guests to please respect our home the same way you would want others to respect your own home*** Our condominium has a MINIMUM 14 DAY LEASE REQUIREMENT. Guests may share a two week lease with other guests while maintaining individual responsibilities. Guests can find someone to share the two week period on their own or we can help facilitate this process ensuring that each guest enjoys his/her own personal and private vacation. Please keep in mind that there is only one lease for the two week period which must be signed and faxed to the mgr. Jackie at 1-386-788-4629 at least 15 days prior to the lease rental period. This meets the requirements of our condominium association by-laws which ONLY state that a lease not be less than two weeks and given to the mgr. 15 days prior to the rental. If we choose to help two families connect together in order to share a lease we let our guests know who they are sharing their lease with and help coordinate the two week lease as well as any other vacation needs we can help them with. All our guests MUST agree to this two week lease period, sign & return said lease 14 days prior to rental period.
The Sherwin is a beautiful, securely monitored 19 story beach side building with an indoor climate controlled grand atrium with lighted fountains, onsite management, heated pool with deck, chairs and tables that have optional shade umbrellas, lounge recliner chairs, poolside sunroom with eating area, refrigerator/ice maker and honor library, gas grill and charcoal grill area with table next to the indoor spa, spa/sauna with TV, fitness center with TV, billiard room with TV, plenty of parking for tenants and guests directly in front of building on the upper deck, and 4 high speed elevators.
The Apartment itself is an upscale 3000+ sq./ft. completely tiled unit. Additionally, it has 1500 sq./ft. of private tiled balconies and a wrap around tiled balcony furnished with tables and chairs which provide a panoramic view of the ocean, city and intracoastal waterway(Halifax River).
ALL 4 bedrooms include: adjacent baths. The living room/den has astounding views which are complimented by a mirrored wall, two plush queen sleeper sofas, one love seat sofa, accompanied by two matching sofa chairs with ottomans, three side tables, two coffee tables, a ceiling fan, a 65' HDTV, DVR, DVD, a four place card table, a ten place dining table lighted by a large authentic ship's wheel chandelier, and a large bar with four bar stools and kitchenette. The entire apartment furnishings are new in 2014. All the furniture counter top surfaces have been covered with 1/4 inch glass.
Each bedroom has a view of either the ocean, Halifax River or both.
The master bedroom or Bdr1 includes a king size bed, two end tables with lamps, a dresser with mirror, a chest of drawers, two comfortable sitting chairs with reading table, two wood chairs, a 55' HDTV, a walk-in closet with two additional reading chairs and tables, a sweater chest and additional night stand, a separate vanity/sink area, and private bathroom with a roman tub,sink, and toilet. There are two balconies, one facing the ocean and one facing the river.
The second bedroom or Bdr2 has two single beds, a bedside table/lamp, a dresser/mirror, a large walk-in closet with room enough for a double air mattress that our children when they were young loved sleeping in, a private balcony, and a sensational view of the Halifax river, north and south Daytona city.
The other master bedroom or Bdr3 has a queen size bed and a single bed with trundle, a dresser with mirror, one bedside table with lamp, two chairs, a 55' HDTV, a large walk-in closet with chest of drawers, and a standard closet. This room has a whole wall of floor to ceiling glass facing the ocean with a sliding glass door in the middle that opens up to a large balcony. Wow!!! what a view.
The fourth bedroom or Bdr4 has two single beds, a bedside table with lamp, an occasional table with lamp, and a large mirrored double door closet. This room has a large window with a view of the Halifax river and atrium.
The separate laundry room doubles as a fifth bedroom or Bdr5 and has a single bed with trundle, a bedside table with lamp and beautiful beach/surf pictures. This room is ideal for kids or overflow guests. Has full size W/D.
The kitchen bar with two bar stools connects to the well appointed kitchen that has: a table with four chairs, an induction glass cooktop/convection range, convection microwave, refrigerator with ice maker/dispenser, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven, mixer, blender, plenty of cabinets, and all necessary dishes, utensils and cookware!
Daytona events include the Daytona 500 NASCAR race in February, Coke Zero 400 auto race in July, Bike week in March, Biketoberfest in October, and spring/summer college breaks.
IF you desire to visit Orlando, it's about a 45 minute drive away where Florida's theme parks are which include: Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks; Universal's Studios and Islands of Adventure; Sea World and its water park Aquatica; Holy Land Experience, Gatorland, and nearby Legoland!!
Even closer is a zoo and zip lining in Sanford, manatee viewing in Blue Springs, and many, many professional golf courses. Ponce Inlet and light house are about 6 miles away. There are many boating, fishing, para-sailing and dining experiences to enjoy. Farther South is the Kennedy Space Center and North is historic St. Augustine (a truly beautiful old European style town). Air Boating (you will likely see alligators doing this) is available in the Orlando area as is hot air ballooning, theater, museums, concerts and many outlet and upscale malls! Don't forget the Tiffany glass museum and shopping/dining on Park Avenue in Winter Park near Orlando also!
To get to Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona International Airport is just a few miles away and Orlando International is an hour and a half drive. There is Amtrak train service within an hour or so of Daytona. Having a car is all you'll need to truly experience all that is available in the Daytona area.
