Chez 'Adélaide' named after our grandmother,is an attractive farm house built in 1800's on the remains of a much older family home. It enjoys a superb location on a hill overlooking rolling countryside and woodland with a charming feeling of space,air and privacy. There is a game room with 2 table tennis. BILLARD and bicycles. BBQ area, garden furniture and a private swimming pool not dug in wood of 6.40 x4 x 1m.20 for the sécurity of little childrens.
Situated at about one hour of Périgueux there s lot of area to visite..Aubeterre, St Emilion, Ribérac, Angoulème,Cognac... It's about 5 minutes from Montmoreau
D674 nearest supermarket,boulangerie,doctors,market and large swimming pool.

Memorable vacation

What a fantastic holiday we had here! The view is truly indescribable and the house is so spacious and beautiful. Jean and Pierrette are very friendly and made us feel very much welcome. We stayed here with the whole family (6 adults and 3 children) for 2 weeks. The first week was very hot, so the nice (heated) swimming pool was the place to be! The week thereafter it was colder, and the pool was still the place to be, but also the shed with tabletennis/pool table/table football and the trampoline outside were very nice to have. Whenever we needed to contact Jean and Pierrette, they reacted very quickly and they were very kind in their communication. They even made plum/pear marmelade from their own garden for us! We had a very nice holiday here and would recommend it to everyone!

Cadre magnifique

Le gîte propose une piscine sécurisée, un pingpong, un babyfoot, un trampoline. Tout ces jeux, idéalement répartis sur le terrain, permettent aux enfants de s'amuser. La pergola, très agréable entre piscine et salle de jeux est parfaite pour les repas et les jeux. La maison n-est pas en reste avec 4 chambres (dont 1 dortoir) et une belle cuisine salle à manger.. Il y a également un coin salon. Le propriétaire propose son aide si besoin. Le séjour fut très agréable entre balades, activités touristiques (poltrot, chateaux) et temps de farniente dans le gîte. Je recommande.

Un petit coin de quiétude

Le temps c'est arrêté, suspendu pour nous donner une parenthèse de repos et calme. La piscine,la salle de jeux, les espaces verts, les arbres fruitiers et la pergola nous ont permis d'être tout à fait reposés ! Merci à Jean pour sa disponibilité et son amabilité. Nous conseillons cette endroit en pleine nature.

Amazing stay

A beautiful property in a really wonderful location. Looking at that view across the valley on a daily basis was a real treat! Well equipped property with very spacious rooms for all the family. The pool is fabulous and the games room very well equipped. We all enjoyed the lovely gardens. We were made very welcome by the property owners who explained everything very well and were very patient with our poor French language skills! We will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Beautiful views

Lovely farm house with big garden and wonderful view. Small top floor bedrooms only really suitable for children. Small cooker makes catering for 10 quite difficult. But we managed. Good host.

Des super vacances entre amis avec un superbe accueil

Une maison authentique et agréable pour des séjours reposants que ce soit entres amis ou en famille ! Le propriétaire est super accueillant et ne manque pas de partager l’histoire de ce gite ! La vue qui l’accompagne ainsi que ses nombreuses activités telles que le billard, le baby-foot, la table de ping-pong et la piscine permettent de s’amuser tout en profitant d’un cadre magique ! Jean a été très disponible et sympathique. La maison correspond tout à fait aux descriptions et tous les équipements sont bien entretenus. Même si nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit nous avons passé un très bon moment.

Fantastic Family Holiday

The gite is perfect for a large family/friends holiday. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor space is fantastic with a lovely rolling garden for the children to explore. The trampoline and swing set are great for kids. The pool was wonderful and always warm with beautiful views over the countryside. The games room had a pool table, table football and table tennis table which kept the family well entertained. Jean and Pierette were great welcoming hosts. We would highly recommend this gite.

Lovely holiday

We spent a lovely 4 weeks at this property, Jean and Pierrette were most welcoming. We saw Jean daily to check the pool and made some great suggestions for dining. Pizza in Montboyer is a must! Bedrooms were lovely as were bathrooms/toilets. Kitchen was a little small when cooking for 10 people as was the lounge for seating. Outside area was stunning with beautiful views and absolute peace and quiet. The owners have put a lot of love and attention into the grounds and it was appreciated as this was where we spent most of our time. Pool was warm and varied between 28 - 31 degrees which we needed with 40 degree heat. Games room kept us all amused and was well stocked. As a heads up upon arrival we were asked for a considerable sum of Euros as a deposit which we didn't know about but was all returned despite a couple of small breakages. A Super U was situated approx 3 miles away in Montmoreau as was a bakery, pharmacy, bar, tabac, resturants, a vets and most importantly the bottle bank. Overall a fabulous holiday with huge thanks to Jean and Pierrette for allowing us to stay in their beautiful property.

Tres belle demeure dans un environnement très calme Les prestations sont impeccables. Nous avons juste trouvé que le tarif de la nuit hors saison était légèrement élevé, c'est la seule chose que l'on peut reprocher.

A great house in a lovely location

We had a fantastic stay at Gite Adelaide, we were staying as a group to celebrate a family birthday and the house accommodated us all perfectly. The house was lovely, full of character and original features. The views from the Garden were lovely, overlooking the valley. We had fantastic weather so lots of time spent in the pool. Our hosts Jean and Pierrette were absolutely great, taking the time to give us an overview of the house and the local area. There was lots to do in the local area, with traditional French markets in Riberac and Chalais and the beautiful historic town of Aubeterre Sur Dronne only a drive a way, as well as lots of opportunities to explore the local area on our bikes. Definitely worth trying the local aperitif Pienau (a mixture of Cognac and grape juice). Would recommend this property and location for a break.
