About Nancy Brown
This is a family home that was my mother's. Our families have been coming to Pocasset for over 50 years. Our children all played here for a few weeks every summer and we could watch them ride their bicycles, play and catch minnows and crabs at the end of the driveway or out front and at the beach.
Nancy Brown purchased this House in 2008
Why Nancy Brown chose Pocasset
This is a family home and we only rent it for 2 weeks or so each Summer. We feel it is special and a place to make new memories- from having coffee/breakfast on the front deck, playing in the water and on the lawns to happy hour as the sun sets across the harbor.
What makes this House unique
Family friendly location and its directly on the harbor with wonderful views and breezes.

Family Reunion on Cape Cod
A lovely, quiet location, right on Pocasset Harbor! We swam at the uncrowded public beach, kayaked around the harbor, watched the ospreys, and sailed in Buzzard's Bay. This well-loved older home sleeps 7 comfortably and is decorated with family photographs, paintings and personal items, so we felt like we were staying with friends. There was off-street parking for seven cars and a lovely deck where we could eat breakfast, read or play cards. There is no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cool. Excellent local restaurants, boutique shopping in Falmouth and Mashpee Commons, and parking lots nearby with free shuttles to Woodshole to catch the ferry for Martha's Vineyard.
This is a wonderful area to walk, run or bike. It's a family friendly dead end street with little traffic. It circles around a little point and has a view of ships passing through the Cape Cod Canal and by Bassett's Island. A small town beach and pier are right near the house and can be reached by walking on the sand. Children like to fish off the pier or right at the end of the driveway use nets to catch minnows and little crabs and watch the tide come in and out. Runners enjoy running up and around Wings Neck, Hen's Cove or Patuisset. The Chart Room and Kingman Marina are less than 5 minutes by car and are favorites for a sunset mudslide, lunch or dinner. The Lobster Trap is also a family favorite and again a brief car ride. Pocasset Village is a brief walk to the Catholic Church, old fashion hardware store, Breakfast place and Graziella's for pizza and sandwiches. A little further up Barlows Landing Road is the post office, another church, market, tennis courts and a playground. The yard is large and great for wiffle ball matches.
