Wonderful Location!

  • 5 of 5

We were happy to discover this nice vacation rental! Nearby is beautiful mountains and a lovely beach. Also, there are easy shopping spots and plenty attractions to see. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We frequently went to Hawaii Kai shopping center and sometimes Koko Marina Shopping Center. A nice highlight was going north to view a tour of the Kualoa ranch. I highly recommend staying here! We drove around the entire island and Waimanalo is an ideal area for sure! We are thankful and the stay was so lovely. I feel like I can go back right now! Mahalo from Washington D.C. visitors :-)

Romantic Beach Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this apartment. The beach access was a plus, the short drive to Waimanalo was convenient. There are lots of local places to eat but it was easy to make meals at the apartment, too. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great. This place was perfect for us as a couple but would also work well for a family with 2 children along. We had a wonderful Hawaiian get-away! Mahalo!

Our stay at this property was amazing, and we feel very fortunate to have spent our 30th wedding anniversary here. We had never rented through VRBO before, so I hoped for the best and prepared for the worst. We found the property to be exactly – no – better than described. No surprises, and no issues. The studio is in great shape, and it has obviously been well taken care of (well done, Giles!). The sat TV worked well and the WiFi was fast. There are two other rental buildings on the property, but both were unoccupied during our stay. It is about 15 - 25 minutes to shopping, but we came well prepared for that. We wanted solitude, and we found it.

The beach… oh, my. Gorgeous, and nearly private – again – exactly as depicted. There were a few people on the beach on Saturday & Sunday, but otherwise it was nearly deserted, and always stunning. During our mornings and evenings at the beach, we met & chatted with two of the nearby property owners (and one brought us a fresh bag of star fruit – delicious!).

We had to work hard to come up with any criticisms, but here they are: 1) More comfortable beds would have been nice, but honestly we slept fine (even though we both have temperamental backs). 2) Sharper steak / cleaving knives. Yep – that’s all we could come up with!

As we prepare to leave for our flight, we find ourselves starting to plan for our next trip here. We are convinced that if we stay anywhere else next time, we will be disappointed, so... we’ll be back. I've already recommended it to several friends.

Wonderful in paradise

The house was amazing but words can't describe the beach. Surprised my wife for a big birthday and she was in awe the whole time. Was a wonderful time all around....

Slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect. It's a studio style home with everything you could possibly need. You are literally steps away from the ocean. It's like having a private beach...the only time we saw a crowd was on Saturday.

We started our day by watching the sun rise, chasing crabs and looking for shells. Then we'd head up, cook breakfast and then head back for snorkeling. The drive to the bigger town (to the left when you leave the home) had amazing views and many places to stop and gaze.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful....making it hard for us to leave. Will definitely be back to this little slice of heaven one day!!

This is truly a unique property that not only stands out due to its beautiful location, but also its proximity to many popular attractions, like the Makapu'u Lighthouse, Sandy Beach, Hanauma Bay and many, many more. It is a gated property surrounded by beautiful lush vegetation and well kept gardens providing complete privacy. The beach, which is only a few steps from the studio apartment, is very quiet with not too many people around except for a few locals. The water, which is not too deep and has minimal waves and currents, especially in the tidal pool, is perfect for swimming and using the kayaks provided by the owners.Oahu is quite a busy island with a lot of traffic, but this property was such a serene place in which to relax and and unwind after exploring the many sights and attractions during the day. At the time of our stay, the owners, who were on the property, were very friendly and accommodating, thus making us feel welcome. Gilles, the property manager was also very nice and always a pleasure to deal with regarding any questions we had about the rental. We would highly recommend this vacation rental and are hoping to be able to return there ourselves one day.
