The accommodations were beyond our expectations and the location was the best! We will definitely stay here again when visiting Savannah!
My husband and I and our 3 kids stayed at this awesome garden level apartment and had a great time. The apartment is beautiful, so much space, updated appliances, washer/dryer, walking distance to all Historic District. Free parking in the back. We walked everywhere we went other than Tybee Island and the day it rained we drove to the trolley tour location. Otherwise, we walked to River Street and Forsyth Park and everywhere in between. The beds were so comfortable. I really cannot think of a negative thing to say, other than during the day we could hear people walking around upstairs and one day heard a vacuum being ran upstairs, but we weren't home much during the day and didn't hear anything in the late afternoon or at night. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, cookware, wine glasses, silverware, etc. We went to the local WalMart the first night there to buy groceries and cooked a few meals while we stayed there and then ate out 1 or 2 times a day. We recommend visiting the little shops, book stores (The Book Lady was awesome), Six Pence Pub, Mercer Williams House, River Street, Pirates House, Colonial Park Cemetary, Forsyth Park and of course all the squares. My son and I loved the Coffee Fox in the mornings for coffee and people watching, and the Savannah Bee Company where they have tasty honey and Mead (Honey wine). There is still alot of Savannah we didn't get to see and we have been there 2 years in a row for our vacation. The first year we come there, we stayed in a hotel in Pooler, GA, but had to drive everywhere, we will likely never stay in a hotel again, we will definitely stay here or another of their rentals when we come back to Savannah.
Loved our accommodations and loved Savannah. Came to Savannah to see the city and attend the Savannah Stopover Music Festival. This apartment was a great place to stay. There was parking in the back and as one reviewer said, we did not touch our car during our 3 night stay. The location is very excellent and provided for a short walk to just about anywhere in the historic district. And the apartment was very well furnished with nice comfortable furniture, comfy beds, and tv's in the bedrooms and living room. The kitchen had everything you would need, though we ate out most of the time, and the bathrooms were very nice as well. The place feels very new, and was very clean upon our arrival.
We had my almost 2yr. old with us. Brought the pack-n-play and placed it in the master bedroom with us. The only thing about this is that the master bedroom connects to the shared living space, so this could be a concern with a small child.
Overall though I would definitely recommend this apartment for a Savannah trip.
York Street was such a location to be at! We were able to do so much sightseeing during our stay, it was great. We were so close to all of the best restaurants in town. I absolutely recommend eating at The Olde Pink House. It's full of history and a lady walks around to the tables and sings to you. If you go there on your birthday she will even sing Happy Birthday to you for everyone to hear. The suite we stayed in was gorgeous. From the outside look of it we had no idea how beautiful it was going to be on the inside. Everything was updated and clean. You could tell the owners truly care about their properties and making sure they are rental ready. It was also nice having parking spaces reserved just for us so downtown parking was never an issue. We had a great stay here.
Brand new is a great description. Two of us stayed 7/2-7/8. York Street is perfect for walking, never touched our car. Parking is at a premium and this garden home has 2 parking spots at the back door. Beautifully decorated and equipped, and all appliances appear brand new. Master bed is wonderful, great linens and towels. Right on the street but quiet. There is a lawyer office above and during working hours, one can hear footsteps but never a problem. Easy walk to River Street and easy walk to Forsyth park. Lots of good food and parks. Overall, outstanding!
Close to it all on York Street in beautiful downtown Savannah. York Street is a short walk to river street, city market, and many fine restaurants located in downtown Savannah. Horse carriage tours, walking tours, and ghost tours are also close by as well as the history within the Savannah squares. Luxury accommodations in one of the best locations in Savannah!
