The children will love the rock wall-accessed play loft, the tree fort, trampoline, swing set, and Wii. Enjoy outdoor cooking in the rock fire pit or grill. Relax on the vaulted screened-in porch or soak in a candle lit jacuzzi tub. The exposed beam great room is the perfect place to play board games, cards, watch a movie, or bask in the flames from the central stone fireplace. The Rock House Cabin is the perfect home-base to stage your romantic mountain wedding at the Pavilion or Red Bluff Overlook. Whether you need to bring the whole family, have a girls' getaway, want to scrapbook, plan a reunion, anniversary, or a romantic escape, the Rock House Cabin can accommodate your needs. We specialize in making your stay special! Contact us with all your special requests. *Note: not wheelchair accessible, as there are single steps from the dining room to the living room, into the kitchen, and into the back bedrooms.

The place was everything it listed however -if offering the amenities of 3 full baths it should be mentioned that when using even just one you may or may not have hot water much less water pressure. We were “camping” so we managed but we also had older parents staying with us that created an issue with safety etc.

Wonderful location with close proximity to Petit Jean State Park. Rock House Cave trail is right across the street. The cabin was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. There was no firewood in the rack when we arrived but we were able to forage wood from the forest floor and we spent a lot of time sitting around the campfire. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. There was a nice screened in porch with a picnic table and a daybed.

Great location!

The location was our favorite part of our stay!! It’s very close to lots of great things, including the turtle rocks that we loved! We had a couple complaints, the Wii wouldn’t read any of the games and my kids were disappointed about that and our kids said that 2 of the bunk bed room mattresses had really uncomfortable springs in their backs all night. Overall, it was a nice stay for our group of 12!

Extended family vacation

We had our first big extended family vacation and all stayed here together. The house was perfect for all of our needs and conveniently located for all the tings we did in the state park. We loved our stay and will book again if we return to Petit Jean mountain

Meet the Croswell Crew and welcome to our family's Peace of Petit Jean! We are Jeff and Sarah Croswell, both native Arkansans, along with our seven (that’s right, 7!) wonderful children. Jeff, a graduate of University of Arkansas, is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and a Rotarian. Sarah is an Director of Curriculum for Ki Charter.

Why they chose this property

The Rock House Cabin was our main residence until 2014, when we moved into town to be closer for all the children's activities. At one time this property served as home to Turtle Rock Farms--our family's Certified Naturally Grown pastured poultry and heirloom tomato farm and greenhouse. Petit Jean Mountain was always our favorite summer destination, so when we had the opportunity to purchase a cabin, we jumped on it. While remodeling, our family fell in love with the idea of living here more than just on the weekends, so we sold our house in Conway and made the move permanent. The original cabin had two bedrooms, one bath, one closet, and no flooring or central heat and air. In order to accommodate a family of our size, we added two bedrooms, two baths, several closets, central heat & air, two porches, new windows, flooring, a laundry room, siding, and remodeled the kitchen. This property has been a labor of love for us and we hope to always keep it in our family for getaways, parties, and reunions. Sharing the Rock House Cabin with others will ensure that our family's Peace of Petit Jean will be around for years to come.
