This home is located directly on the water, on the east shore of Lake Dunmore, tucked into a sheltered, half-moon bay. It is a modern, energy efficient, four season home, decorated and furnished by an artist. Located in the heart of Vermont's Champlain Valley, we are close to both Middlebury and Brandon. Lake Champlain is 30 minutes away, and The Green Mountains behind us boast world class skiing at Mad River Glen, Pico Peak, and Sugarbush Ski Resorts. Excellent golf, antiquing, gallery hopping and dining are minutes away from the serene spot.
Out front, a rare, large, flat lawn for recreation and sunning meets a sandy beach ideal for small children. We're well off the paved road, at the end of a dirt driveway, so the only sounds you'll hear are the loons. Everything needed for relaxing is provided.
There is one bedroom with a queen bed, and a second room with two twin bunks.
Outside there is a huge stone patio with table and umbrella, a picnic table, lawn chairs, a rope hammock, a campfire pit, and a Weber charcoal grill.
There are plenty of books, puzzles and games, wifi internet, a large TV with Netflix and Hulu subscriptions, an ipod dock, and a compact CD/tape player/radio.
There is a kayak, a VT pack boat, a metal rowboat and a canoe, as well as life vests for all adults and children. There are floats and water toys. Please use everything sensibly. Boats of all kinds are available for rent at Waterhouses, a small Marina across the lake.
No smoking is permitted in the house.
